Guijiang river is one of the major tributaries of Xijiang River System in the Pearl River Basin. Its upstream darongjiang river originates from Maoershan (Huajiang Township, Xing'an County), the highest peak in Guangxi. It flows southward to Rongjiang town and converges with Lingqu, which is called Lijiang River. Then it flows through Lingchuan County, Guilin City, Yangshuo county to Pingle county and converges with Lipu River, which is called Guijiang river . The estuary of Guijiang river is the dividing point between Xunjiang section and Xijiang section. It has a total length of 426 kilometers and a drainage area of 19288 square kilometers. There are many rapids and dangerous shoals in Guijiang river. Shallow water boats can reach Pingle and Guilin in flood season. Guijiang river flows through the limestone area, with many stone forests and caves along the bank. The river water is clear and the scenery is beautiful. It is a famous tourist area in China.
