Xingguo Park

The newly built Xingguo garden covers an area of 26000 square meters, reaching Zhongshan South Road in the East, South Street in the south, Xingguo Lane in the West and Qinglong Lane in the north. It is divided into three functional areas: Memorial area, nostalgia scenic area and poetry culture scenic area.

Xingguo Park

Xingguo garden originally had no garden. It was built for the protection of the ancient pagoda. Located in the South Street of the urban area, Xingguo pagoda was built in the Northern Song Dynasty (976-983). It was originally a 7-level floating Tu and pavilion type brick and wood structure of the Taiping Xingguo temple.

Introduction to scenic spots

It was destroyed by war in the Yuan Dynasty. During the reign of the Ming Dynasty, the tower was restored, and the tower was increased to 9 levels. In the 22nd year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1817), the wood and the top of the tower were destroyed by fire. On January 26, 1925, when Zhifeng warlords were engaged in scuffle, the top of the remnant Pagoda in Fengjun's firing became a pen point. After liberation, it was repaired several times, and now the original objects below 6 floors are still in Song Dynasty. Located on the left side of the square, the relief is 30 meters long and 3 meters high. It is designed and produced by the creation Office of Jiangsu Federation of literary and art circles, using the artistic techniques of light relief and high relief. It records the tragic scenes of the two historical periods of "Yiyou Massacre" in the early Qing Dynasty and "Yichou besieged city" in the period of warlords' scuffle in the Republic of China, and eulogizes the people's tradition of love for Jiangyin, love for peace, unity of mind and strong people's character. This relief, together with the Xuezheng group sculpture of Jiangsu Xuezheng government office and the 500 Arhats sculpture of Junshan Park, can be regarded as the three beauties of Jiangyin.
