The glacier gate cave is actually the outlet of the glacier hidden River and also the source of the glacier river. It is now located at 2940 meters above sea level and is the lowest point of Hailuogou Glacier No. 1. Under the joint action of glacier movement and the difference of external temperature, the ice cliff as high as tens of meters gradually melts into an arched "gate".

Chengmen cave, built in the song and Yuan Dynasties, is the best preserved ancient architectural complex in Jiuzhou. It is a good place for exercise and walking. It is adjacent to the ancient ferry of Wuyang river. Further to the west, the Anti Japanese airport lies quietly in the dam. The statue of general Chennault is majestic. The wind blows gently, and the dam is filled with the fragrance of rice. Just had a shower, the sky is blue, especially clear. Standing in the distance, one hundred thousand battalions are shrouded in clouds, and the shadow of the mountain looms like a fairyland.

The gate hole is on the top of the decaying ferry. Between the gate and the ferry, there is a small stone step slope lane. In the ancient lane of gudu, the wooden house of the old shop is leaning. Some cargo men carrying cloth clothes are climbing along the stone steps on the side of Fuzhong bridge, shouting as they go - the tenor behind them one by one: "go quickly"; the soprano in the middle is interspersed with "which one"; the bass in the front is closely followed by "it's all me". One after another, "hurry up", "which" and "it's all me" are always the three sentences - what are you talking about? To tell you the truth, these three villagers are selling "vegetable tofu", "spicy horn" and "Douchi" respectively.

The name of Chengmen cave is really strange to people. Its origin is that it was a prosperous market in ancient times. In the Qing Dynasty, the state capital moved to the county seat of Huangping County 50 miles away, which was called "Xinzhou". The abandoned market was called "old city gate", which was also called Chengmen cave. Chengmen cave became a small market. People will say, "Oh, this path is really unknown. It should be a very simple street." But this sentence is only half right. Chengmen cave is a gathering place of ancient dwellings and simple style, but it is a cultural treasure that has been hidden and reflected in history. In this seemingly peaceful ancient town, we trace back along the ancient buildings and faint relics bit by bit.

Chengdu Xinnanmen bus station has a direct tour bus to Hailuogou, which leaves at 9:30 every day. The ticket price is about 119 yuan, and the journey is 6-7 hours

There is no shuttle bus from Kangding to Hailuogou. The whole journey is about 100 km. Both roads are made of cement (asphalt). There are two routes to choose from

1. Kangding Luding (Luding Bridge) - Hailuogou, 102 km long

2. Kangding - yajiageng (yajiaqinghai) - Hailuogou, with a highway mileage of 76 km

After entering the scenic spot, you can take a sightseeing bus to camp 3, which takes about 50 minutes
