Xizha

Xizha has become an outstanding ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River with its original water town style and cultural heritage accumulated for thousands of years. The cross shaped inland river system divides the whole town into four blocks, namely, southeast northwest four gates. Dongzha was the first one to be developed. However, xizha scenic spot, which is three or four times larger than dongzha, can really bring people a "brand new" experience of ancient town tourism. This "fresh" feeling not only lies in the daytime sightseeing, but also in the colorful night travel and leisure, as well as a variety of personalized accommodation, so that people can really live in the details.

Xizha is located in the West Street of Wuzhen, adjacent to the ancient Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, and has a highway through Jiangsu, Suzhou and Tongxiang City. It has a subtropical monsoon climate, 4.92 square kilometers, and the opening hours are 9:00-22:00. It is mainly for business tourism and leisure vacation. It is an AAAAA scenic spot. Famous scenic spots include Maodun memorial hall, Zaoqing hall, grass and wood natural color dyeing workshop, etc.

Traffic information

After arriving at Wuzhen bus station, the way to Wuzhen scenic area (East Gate and West Gate) is as follows:

Station to dongzha: Wuzhen bus station is about 0.5km away from dongzha. Get off at Wuzhen bus station, go east along Qingzhen Road, go north along Zhicai road after the intersection of Qingzhen road and Zhicai Road, go east along midnight road after the intersection of midnight road and Zhicai Road, you can see dongzha parking lot, and you can reach the entrance of dongzha scenic spot by walking in.

Station to xizha: Wuzhen bus station is about 2km away from xizha. Get off at Wuzhen bus station and take bus k350 at the gate of the station to reach the east gate of Wuzhen xizha; or get off and go east along Qingzhen Road, go north along Zhicai road at the intersection of Qingzhen road and Zhicai Road, go west along ziye road at the intersection of midnight road and Zhicai Road, cross Wuzhen bridge, go west along Hongqiao Road, and then go north along Zhaoming Road, which is the South Gate of xizha scenic spot.

East Gate to west gate: east gate is about 1.5 km away from west gate. Go westward along midnight Road, continue westward through Wuzhen bridge, and go northward after passing Hongqiao Road, then you can reach the south gate entrance of xizha scenic spot. There are free shuttle buses from dongzha to xizha from 9:00 to 16:30 in the morning, and there are taxis, etc.
