Zhangtan village, located in the south of she County, Anhui Province, is one of the top 100 photography bases in Huangshan City.

Zhangtan village is one of the main production villages of "Santan loquat". In August 2013, it was selected as the second batch of traditional villages in China.

Located in the west end of Shendu Town, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, the village committee is located in Zhangtan village, with a total area of 6.2 square kilometers, 3389.3 mu of cultivated land and 6748 mu of forest land. Under the jurisdiction of three natural villages, 10 villager groups, the village by the end of 2009, a total of 430 households, a total population of 1450 people. In 2009, the total income of rural economy was 50000 yuan. The landform is mountainous and hilly, with four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall.

Zhangtan village was originally under the jurisdiction of Zhangtan township government.

Industrial economy traditional agriculture is mainly grain, tea and loquat, supplemented by bamboo and trees. The village tea garden area of more than 800 mu, loquat garden area of 3278 mu, annual output value of more than 400000 yuan. In 2005, the town government called on the farmers to adjust the planting industrial structure, relying on the national 4A scenic spot - "Xin'anjiang landscape gallery", vigorously develop the tourism economy. Xin'anjiang water surface can be cultivated for water, and the farmers' economic income has been greatly improved.

The villagers have always worshipped religion and had private schools before liberation. After liberation, there were Zhangtan Central Primary School and Zhangtan middle school. The coverage rate of water and electricity facilities in the village is 100%, and the popularization rate of cable TV and telephone is more than 95%. There is a village clinic. The village implements the rural cooperative medical security system, so that everyone can enjoy medical security.

Before liberation, the villagers' houses were mainly two-story brick and wood structures and bungalows, but now they are mainly two-story concrete structures. Public infrastructure at the village level is improving day by day. After village renovation, open-air manure tanks have been basically eliminated. All villagers drink tap water. All main roads have been hardened. The living environment of villagers has been greatly improved. With the adjustment of industrial structure, people's living standard has been greatly improved. By the end of 2008, there were three private cars, more than 20 motorcycles, three water cargo ships and one passenger motor ship in the village.

Party Building

Zhangtan village committee has one grassroots Party branch and two party groups. At present, there are 43 party members, who were rated as the advanced grass-roots Party branch in 2008.

Beautiful rural construction

Zhangtan village is the key village of beautiful rural construction in Anhui Province. As of March 2013, a series of beautiful rural construction projects, such as villagers' activity center, villagers' Cultural Square, small sewage treatment facilities, kengjiu highway construction, reconstruction of farmers' dilapidated houses and Huizhou reconstruction, have come to an end.
