Huangtading, the highest peak in Yixing and southern Jiangsu, is 611.5 meters above sea level, belonging to the Tianmu Mountains. Located in Lingxia village, Zhangzhu Town, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, it is commonly known as experimental mountain, also known as putaoling and mingling.

The main part of the mountain is composed of many hills distributed in the south of Yixing City and Liyang City in Jiangsu Province. The mountain is composed of Devonian quartz sandstone. Since the Yanshanian movement, faults have been active frequently. Mountains and basins are arranged alternately. The karst landform of the basin is well developed and it is a famous tourist destination.

The other side of huangtading mountain is Zhejiang Province. Bamboo forest is quite lush, there are two or three meters wide stream, clear water, cool. It is the main producing area of bamboo, chestnut and tea in Jiangsu Province. Mineral resources are coal, iron, clay, limestone, big buried stone, etc. On the top of the yellow tower, you can overlook Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.

Main attractions

Because the agriculture and Forestry Department of Jiangsu Province has done the experiment of Phyllostachys pubescens there, it is called the experimental mountain, so the growth of Phyllostachys pubescens in this area is very vigorous, which is worthy of the name of bamboo sea. The mountain is one of the main official roads from Nanjing to Hangzhou in ancient times. There are many popular stories, especially the legend of Liu Xiu's footprints on the mountain. Now the stone steps of the mountain road are basically intact. Every spring, people come to see bamboo and dig bamboo shoots to enjoy the gift of nature.
