Da PI yuan

Dapiyuan is a street located in Huifang of Xi'an. It is famous for its Hui people's diet. Dapiyuan was named after the silk business in the streets during the Ming Dynasty.

During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, there was a guild hall of Guangdong and Guangxi in the north of the east entrance road of Dapiyuan, which worshipped emperor Guandi and Wenchang. According to the records of Xijing kuaiyan in the Republic of China, there are Liangjiang guild hall in DAPI courtyard.

From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, many Hui people in Huifang began to make a living by selling baskets. Selling beef, mutton and snacks became the main business in the streets.

Famous place

Dapiyuan mosque is located in the south of the west section of Dapiyuan. It was built in 1411, the ninth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty. It was built by Ma Daozhen and rebuilt in 1781. The mosque was occupied for other purposes in 1959, and was donated by local religious people in 1985. After five years of efforts, the original appearance of the mosque was restored.
