Synopsis

In 1987, in the black quarter of New York City, there lived a very fat 16-year-old girl, Bryce. In 1996, Safire, a street artist and black school teacher, wrote the film's original famous novel push. In her novel, she describes the misfortune of a black girl. After writing the novel, Saffi thought that if the story could be put on the screen, it would be more brilliant than it is now. Because the psychological description and the inner monologue of Bryce are more suitable to be shown on the screen than in words. Safire trusted Lee Daniels and gave him all the rights to adapt novels. After the director Lee Daniels got the right to adapt the novel, he borrowed land to get a little money, so the film began to shoot.

Director Lee Daniels said that black people will always be a minority and a second-class citizen in the United States.
