Muyu Island

Mu Island, also known as YEMA Island, is a coastal island in the south of Shapu Town, Fuqing City, Fujian Province. It faces niutouwei across the sea and is 50 kilometers away from Fuqing City. With a land area of 3.09 square kilometers and a population of more than 500, most of the island has been relocated to niufeng village. Because the island is a horse, and the eastern peak is 106 meters above sea level, it is called YEMA island because it has a high head and can swim to the land bank. It is also called Mu island because it used to be a sea surveillance post in ancient times. It's about 2 hours' drive from Fuzhou library to Gaoshan town of Fuqing to niutouwei town of Shapu Town, and then to the island by ferry. Niutoumen waterway is 1.5km wide and more than 22m deep.

Scenery

The island overlooks Haitan in the East and Meizhou in the south. It is just a river away from the ancient city of Wan'an. The Nanri archipelago is close to you. Although the mountain is only over 100 meters high, it is full of green trees, fragrant flowers, chirping birds and delicious food.

The beauty of YEMA island lies in its nature. The "three mountains" in the East, the middle and the west of the island are beautiful. The vegetation is woolly and embroidered. The pines stand upright. The strange rocks and rocks are stacked and vied with each other. They are either human like or animal like. It has more than 100 scenes, such as wind rock, sea lion bathing day, stone cat peeping seal, turtle welcoming guests, etc. At the foot of the South Tuku of Dongshan mountain is a cliff. Under the cliff, there is a vast sea. The sea is rough and the waves are splashing. You can see far and wide. The view on the mountain of the island is comprehensive. You can not only see the rocks nearby, but also climb the top of YEMA mountain to see the vast sea and the same color of water and sky. When it's cloudy, sunny, rainy and foggy, the scenery changes rapidly, or under the clear sky, the sea reefs are a little bit; or the sea fog is diffuse, a vast expanse; or the wind is howling, the turbid waves are surging. There are seven uninhabited islands surrounded by arches. The sea area is rich in more than 50 kinds of valuable fish, and there are also fish eating Muscovy ducks on the island with unique flavor.

Main attractions

There are 36 big and small outlets, including 12 sand beaches, Jinsha snow waves, bathing in the sea in summer, and walking along the beach in winter. It's intoxicating with the sound of waves and the sea breeze. There are more than 30 islands and reefs around YEMA Island, such as Snake Island and Niuer island. The sea area is rich in grouper and dozens of other fish and crabs. It is a leisure place for fishing.

YEMA is not open to the outside world yet!

Tourism information

Take no.908 bus from Fuqing Shuinan station to Gaoshan, and the bus fare is 8 yuan. After getting off the Gaoshan bus station, take a few steps to the right to get to the rural passenger transport of Muyu Island, 5 yuan. Take more than half an hour to niutouwei ferry, where you have to wait for the boat to see your character. If there are too many people, the boss will sail, and the boat fare is 10 yuan.
