Lake CASA

Kasa lake is located 70 km west of Luhuo County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the largest waterfowl habitat in Northwest Sichuan, with a total area of 1.92 square kilometers. It is a curved plateau freshwater lake. It was named "provincial nature reserve" in 1999. It is a famous holy lake in the area.

Historical legend

It is said that a long time ago, the location of Casa lake was a deep valley. There was no lake water and no stream. It was very difficult for people living here to carry water outside the mountain. What's more unfortunate is that we have suffered from drought for several years in a row. The crops are widely planted but the income is not enough to make ends meet. There is also a terrible phenomenon that children die young when they are young. An old man in the village, seeing the misery of his compatriots, began to recite Buddhism devoutly. He kowtowed to the Buddhas every day to give them a way to live. Maybe his kindness moved the Buddhas. On the night of the 108th day when he kowtowed to the Buddhas, he had a strange dream. In the dream, a man wearing white clothes and riding a white horse always warned him not to forget to let go of the deep valley The frog in the garden. When the old man woke up, he suddenly realized that the Buddha had come to light. At daybreak, he hurried to the deep valley to look for a frog, but there was no frog in the dry land. When he was disappointed and ready to leave, he found that a huge stone in front of him looked like a frog. Looking left and right, he looked up and down. It looked like a frog. He couldn't help pushing forward. It was strange! The huge stone moved away, and clear water flowed from under the stone. The old man was overjoyed and immediately ran to worship the gods to thank him. The water rises year by year and forms Lake casa. From then on, the Kasas sowed in spring and harvested in autumn, and the six animals flourished. The trickling streams also flowed into the lake from the remote valley. Later, there were dragon, ox, horse, frog and so on in the lake, which were left in people's legend and also flowed into the lake.

Influence of later generations

Casa lake is regarded as the mother lake by people. On weekdays, people have to go around and worship. They have to pray when they plough in spring and harvest in autumn. When a child is full moon, the most important thing is to recite the Buddha on his back and walk around the lake. In short, regardless of the gods, the harvest here is inseparable from the humid air from the mother lake, which is absolutely true!
