Liu Yuxi Park

Liu Yuxi park is the first cultural theme park in Xingyang City, which is based on the tomb of Liu Yuxi, a great poet of Tang Dynasty, and takes Liu Yuxi's poetry culture as the theme. It is an open park fully integrated with landscape art. Located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Jingcheng road and new 310 National Road in Xingyang City, adjacent to chess square and Sangong statue, one step away from botanical garden and City Gymnasium, it covers an area of 180000 square meters.

Liu Yuxi was an outstanding poet, essayist, philosopher and politician in the middle of Tang Dynasty. He was praised as a "poet" by Bai Juyi, and the well-known "humble chamber inscription" was his hand. Liu Yuxi park is a cultural theme park in memory of Liu Yuxi, a famous poet. There are statues and tombstones of Liu Yuxi, as well as a memorial hall, 3 humble rooms, 13 memorial archways and 5 pavilions, which reproduce the scenes mentioned in the inscription on humble rooms.

About the park

Liu Yuxi was an outstanding poet, essayist, philosopher and statesman in the middle of Tang Dynasty. He was praised as a "poet" by Bai Juyi. Xingyang is the birthplace of Liu Yuxi's four generations. In his letter, he once said that his hometown "the humble house has not been destroyed, and the barren land can be cultivated". After his death, he was buried in Tan (tan) mountain, the holy land for heaven, which was granted by Duke Huan of Zheng. The well-known "humble chamber inscription" was written by him.

LiuYuxi park is a key project of Xingyang's three-year action plan for leapfrog development and cultural construction project. It is also the first cultural theme park in Xingyang. It is located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Jingcheng road and new 310 National Road, adjacent to chess square and Zheng's three statues, one step away from Xingyang botanical garden and stadium, covering an area of 180000 square meters (phase I).

The project is designed by Beijing new materials Architectural Design Co., Ltd. and constructed by Xingyang construction administration bureau. There are statues and tombstones of Liu Yuxi in the park, as well as the scenes mentioned in the inscription on a humble chamber. All the works of Liu Yuxi park were completed in 2008.

Project overview

Liu Yuxi park construction project, under the correct leadership of Xingyang municipal Party committee and government and the strong support of the relevant units, all the construction personnel work together to overcome difficulties, make overall arrangements, and carry out meticulous construction. Especially since the beginning of summer, with the scorching sun, the scorching heat, working overtime, and active struggle, more than 10000 trees of more than 30 species, more than 90000 shrubs of 35 species, and 60000 lawns have been planted Square meters.

The civil engineering includes the construction of artificial lake, memorial hall, square, humble room and main and secondary roads. There are two artificial lakes with an area of more than 20000 square meters; Liu Yuxi memorial hall with a construction area of 768 square meters and a steel concrete frame structure; two humble rooms with a construction area of more than 600 square meters and a steel concrete frame structure and a cement tile roof; two squares with a main square of more than 10000 square meters and all of them are paved with granite. The main road in the park is more than 1000 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, with 250 meters of side stones. There are four secondary roads, more than 1300 meters in total.
