Tengao Town, belonging to Haicheng City, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, is one of the nine key new towns in Shenyang Economic Zone, including provincial Economic Development Zone, provincial high-tech Industrial Development Zone and Shenyang Economic Zone. It is located in the hinterland of Liaodong Peninsula and in the urban agglomeration of central Liaoning. It covers an area of 184 square kilometers, with a core area of 50 square kilometers and a total population of 120000. It is an important window for Liaoning Province to open to the outside world and enjoys the reputation of "Kangqu in the east of Shaanxi". It is a civilized ancient town with thousands of years of history.

The geographical coordinates are 41 ° 29 ′ - 41 ° 21 ′ N and 122 ° 18 ′ - 122 ° 51 ′ E. It is adjacent to Anshan City in the north, Liaoyang City and Tai'an County, Gaotuo town in the west, Gengzhuang town and Nantai town in the south, and Tanggangzi new town in the East. Tengao town is 15 kilometers away from Anshan in the East, 100 kilometers away from Panjin in the west, 70 kilometers away from Yingkou and 258 kilometers away from Dalian in the south, and 105 kilometers away from Shenyang in the north.

Teng'ao area is located in Yanshan Longqi, Liaodong Longqi and Bohai depression of North China fault block. The exposed strata in this area are mainly Chengzitan formation of Anshan Group. There are mainly late Pleistocene and Holocene in this area of Cenozoic, which are mainly a set of loose sediments of different genesis, such as residual slope, alluvial proluvial, lacustrine and marine deposits, mainly distributed in the valley and coastal low-lying areas of this area.

Most of Tengao area is plain area, the landform gradually inclines from east to west, with the highest altitude of 135.2 meters and the lowest altitude of 3.5 meters. The eastern part of the town is low mountains and hills, which is suitable for the development of forest and fruit industry; the central and western parts are alluvial plains, which are suitable for field cultivation. The eastern part of the territory is surrounded by Jiashan, Yingtai mountain (also known as Jiangjunshan), guogaishan, Naitoushan, Xiaonanshan and other mountains. Mingjia mountain is 82.1 meters above sea level, Yingtai mountain is 54.3 meters above sea level, guogaishan is 110 meters above sea level, Xiaonanshan is 52 meters above sea level, and Naitoushan is 135.2 meters above sea level, which is the highest and largest mountain in the territory.

The climate of Tengao area belongs to temperate semi humid monsoon climate. The annual dominant wind direction is southwest wind in summer and north wind in winter. The maximum temperature is 34 ℃, the minimum temperature is - 30 ℃, and the annual average temperature is 8.6 ℃. The annual rainfall is 683-750mm, the frost free period is 150-160days, and the maximum frozen soil depth is 110cm.
hydrology
Hun River, Taizi River, Yangliu River, Santong River and Mingjia river flow through the territory. The natural ponds formed on both sides of the river bank are suitable for the development of aquaculture. Taizi River flows from north to south in the west of the town, with a total length of 10.8 km; Yangliu river flows into Taizi River from east to West in the north of the town, with a total length of 22.7 km; Santong river originates from the north foot of nannaitou mountain in Jinjia village, and flows into Taizi River from south to northwest, which is seasonal river; Mingjia river flows into Yangliu River in the east of Tengao Town, with a total length of 5 km, which is seasonal river. There are Sancha (Mingjia) reservoir and Jiangjun reservoir in the territory. Sancha reservoir covers an area of about 200 mu and Jiangjun reservoir has a capacity of about 700 cubic meters. The surrounding environment of the two reservoirs is beautiful and the scenery is pleasant. They mainly produce crucian carp, carp, grass carp, catfish, etc.

Sandy soil, brown soil and river silt soil are distributed in the eastern hilly area, and meadow soil is developed from alluvial soil in plain area.
Historical evolution
Teng'ao is rich in heritage. It is named after the legend that juao takes off here. It has been an important fortress in the south of Liaoning since ancient times. It is known as "Kangqu in the east of Shaanxi". It is a civilized ancient town with a history of more than 1000 years, with a history of more than 4000 years.
Tengao fort, formerly known as Hu guitun, according to legend, in the first year of Dajin Tiande (1149), there was a giant Ao hidden deep in the water in the pond in the center of the town. One day, the ground light appeared and the clouds filled the sky. With a thunderbolt, the giant Ao rose up in the sky, so it was named Tengao fort.
There are thousands of peaks on the left and thousands of hectares of plain on the right. The roads are connected and there is an endless stream. Most of the emigrants are here. It can be seen from the origin of Tengao town annals that Tengao has an ancient and long history. According to records, stone axes of the Neolithic age were unearthed on the Yingtai mountain on the left side of the town, and bricks of the Han Dynasty tombs with die prints were excavated on Mingjia mountain. At that time, the painters' realistic ability and artistic skills were of a high level. Two unearthed cultural relics show that human beings settled here as early as 4000 years ago, and the economy and culture of Han Dynasty (206-220 BC) were relatively developed.
Warring States Period: after King Wu of Zhou destroyed the Shang Dynasty, he granted Zhaogong Shuang the title of King Yan, which was handed down to the 26th generation. At the beginning, Liaodong and Liaoxi counties were set up, and Xiangping county (now Liaoyang) was set up under the jurisdiction of Xiangping.
Qin Dynasty: in the 25th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), Qin unified China and set up 36 counties under Liaodong county.
Han Dynasty: in 206 BC, Liu Bang defeated Xiang Yu and established the Western Han Dynasty. Haicheng county is located in Xinchang County, liaotun county and Anshi County, while Tengao county is located in Xinchang County, Liaodong County of Youzhou governor department. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (190ad), gongsunyuan took Xiangping as his stronghold and ruled Eastern Liaoning for 50 years.
Three Kingdoms: Sima Yi destroyed gongsunyuan in 238, and tengaojing belonged to Xinchang County, Liaodong county.
Jin Dynasty: in 265, Sima Yi unified the whole country and established the Western Jin Dynasty, following the Han system. Teng'ao belonged to Xinchang County, Pingzhou.
Qianyan and Houyan: in 337, murongyu, a Xianbei nationality, occupied eastern Liaoning and established Qianyan. In 384 ad, after the establishment of murongchui, teng'ao belonged to Xinchang County, Liaodong county. In 404, Gaogouli occupied eastern Liaoning, and Tengao was under the jurisdiction of Gaogouli.
Sui Dynasty: in 581, Yang Jian established the Sui Dynasty. Koguryo was a vassal of Sui Dynasty. Tengao is a luxury city in Koguryo.
Tang Dynasty: Koguryo was a vassal in the early Tang Dynasty. In the first year of Tang Zongzhang (668), Li Xun led the army to recover Liaodong and occupied Pyongyang, which was even subordinate to prefectures, prefectures and counties. Teng'ao belongs to Anshi Prefecture.
Liao Dynasty: in 916, yeluabaoji, leader of Khitan, destroyed Bohai State and established Liao state. Tengao belongs to Liaoyang Prefecture, Tokyo road.
Jin Dynasty: in 1151, teng'ao belonged to limo County, Chengzhou, Tokyo.
Yuan Dynasty: in 1271 ad, Kublai Khan, the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, designated the state as the Yuan Dynasty. All prefectures and counties are abandoned. Tengao is under the jurisdiction of Liaoyang road inspection department.
Ming Dynasty: in 1368 ad, the Yuan Dynasty collapsed and Zhu Yuanzhang established the Ming Dynasty. Hongwu eight years (1375) set Liaodong division. Tengao is under the jurisdiction of Haizhou Wei.
Qing Dynasty: in 1636 ad, Huangtaiji changed its name to Qing Dynasty. In 1644 ad, Emperor Shizu of the Qing Dynasty captured the Ming Dynasty. In November of the tenth year of Shunzhi (1653), Haizhou was changed into Haicheng County, which was subordinate to Liaoyang Prefecture. In 1657, Tengao was under the jurisdiction of Haicheng County, fengtianfu. In the 10th year of Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, they immigrated to Haicheng for reclamation. In the 12th year of Yongzheng reign, they set up a commune. In the second year of Xuantong reign, tengaobao was the sixth town.
Republic of China: in 1911, the revolution of 1911 overthrew the Qing Dynasty and established the Republic of China. In 1913, the prefecture system was abolished and the provincial county system was implemented. Haicheng county was still established. Shenyang Road, Fengtian province. In 1929, it was subordinate to Haicheng County, Liaoning Province. In the 11th year of the Republic of China, Tengao was the eighth district with 61 villages under its jurisdiction. In 1931, the puppet Manchukuo was founded, and Tengao was under the jurisdiction of Haicheng County, Fengtian province.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Tengao was subordinate to the democratic government of Haicheng County, Liaoning Province.
Tengao was under the jurisdiction of Haicheng County in 1946.
After the liberation of Haicheng in 1948, Tengao was the seventh district of Haicheng County, with 25 villages under its jurisdiction.
In February 1949, Tengao town was established, which was one of the earliest three towns in Haicheng, together with Haicheng Town and Niuzhuang town. After several changes in the system of District, town and community, Tengao town was re established after the merger of town and community in 1981.
In June 1992, the Anshan Municipal Party committee and government approved the establishment of Tengao special economic zone.
In August 1995, it was promoted to provincial economic development zone with the approval of Liaoning Provincial People's government.
On December 26, 2001, with the approval of the provincial Civil Affairs Department, the original xintaizi town was merged into Tengao town. After the merger of the two towns, Tengao town has jurisdiction over 8 sub district offices and 26 administrative villages.
In September 2003, Tengao town carried out the adjustment of administrative villages. A total of 14 villages were withdrawn. After the merger, the town had 8 sub district offices including Yong'an, Bao'an, Fu'an, shou'an, zhouzheng, Huangshi, Mingjia and Jiangjun, and 14 administrative villages including anfeihuang, Jinjia, Shiqiaozi, Shuangtaizi, wangtie, Qiangan, Donggan, Jieguan, Dongxin, Xixin, DanJia, laoqiang, dongkai and Xikai.
In October 2008, in order to integrate resources, the original dongsifangtai hot spring was put into operation with the approval of the provincial Civil Affairs Department
