Thousand Buddha cave of horseshoe Temple

Walking into the gate of horseshoe temple tourist area, the first scenic spot you see is thousand Buddha cave. Qianfo cave was built in the northern Liang period of the Sixteen States of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It was a Tibetan Buddhist temple in the Yuan Dynasty, and now it is a Han Buddhist temple.

Qianfo cave is divided into three parts: north section, south section and middle section. In the northern part, there is a forest of relief stone pagodas. There are dozens of stone pagodas of different sizes distributed on the steep red sandstone. This is where the ascetics live or store the lynx. Most of the stone pagodas were carved in the yuan and Ming Dynasties, and there are also treasures of the Western Xia Dynasty. The southern and central sections are dominated by Buddhist caves. There are niches for statues in the cave. The eaves of the cave are Fancha style wooden structure eaves.

1. From May 1 to October National Day every year, you can take the bus at the south bus station at 7:35, 8:25 and 9:15, and the ticket price is 11.5 yuan / person. There are two buses returning to Zhangye, and the time is not fixed. You need to ask when you get on the bus. It's about between 16:30 and 17:00, and the ticket price is 11 yuan / person, and the round trip is 21.5 yuan / person

2. In the rest of the time, you can take the bus to nanguzhen at the south bus station, which is 9.5 yuan per person. You can get off at MATI Temple scenic spot, and you need to take a taxi or motorcycle after getting off, which is 30 yuan one way

3. Charter a car from Zhangye City, and the car will go back and forth about 300-400 yuan / car on the same day
