Hongcaohu Wetland Park

Hongcaohu Wetland Park is located in Xicheng District, Tianchang City, Anhui Province. It has been a vast river wetland since ancient times. It is full of red grass, so it is called hongcaohu. Red grass is a perennial herb. According to ancient records, it is produced in Tianchang. It grows green in spring and turns yellow in summer. In autumn and winter, its stems are like fire and its flowers are like snow.

Fancaohu Wetland Park in Tianchang City is subordinate to Chengxi forest farm, with a total area of about 1800 mu. There are more than 80000 poplar and Chi fir trees in the park. The park is surrounded by water on four sides and surrounded by levees on three sides. It is adjacent to tiancaohu first-class highway in the south, Baita River in the north, chuanqiao River in the west, laochuanqiao River in the East and Laoximen residential area in the urban area. The original Tian (Chang) Chu (Zhou) highway (the old 312 provincial road) runs through Sichuan, dividing the park into South Lake and North Lake. The southwest part of the park is a newly opened industrial park, and the southeast part is three large residential areas (garden area, Mingyuan area and Ankang area).

Development history

In the early years, the lake was rich in grass, which could weave curtains. At that time, there was a long-standing saying: "curtains in the west gate, dishes in the east gate, dumplings in the south gate, iron in the north gate.". It means that the grass curtain in Ximen is famous.

In the fifties and sixties of the last century, the water grass lake was sparkling, the water grass was vast, and it was full of vitality. In spring, the lake is full of green. On the grass beach by the lake, pigs, horses, cattle and sheep can be herded. In summer, when people play in the lake, they can harvest all kinds of fish, shrimp, crab, turtle and other aquatic animals by accident. After autumn, the marsh lake is orange. People use the marsh grass as firewood, and the harvest in one season can be enjoyed in one year. It's a landscape painting to see the rain and snow scenery of Hongcao Lake in winter. Throughout the year, people are enjoying the natural gift of Hongcao lake. The curtain made of Hongcao can keep warm in winter and cool in summer. It is neither boring nor perishable.

The development project of hongcaohu was started in 1989, and Chengxi forest farm was established. It was the first large-scale compulsory tree planting activity of the whole people in our city. It has planted 1954 mu (including Huangjiahu), and the main tree species are Italian poplar and Chi fir. Hongcaohu Wetland Park project is one of the 75 key urban construction projects in our city. At ordinary times, the good forest ecological environment attracts many citizens to come to the forest for leisure and fitness.

In 2008, it was decided to build hongcaohu wetland park by stages. In the same year, the planning and design plan of the park was adopted. The nature of the whole park is as follows: through skillful water management, extensive green building, fine landscape creation, respecting tradition and giving new meaning, build an urban park with the characteristics of the times and local characteristics, focusing on leisure and integrating culture, fitness, tourism, science popularization and ecology. The park is divided into eight functional areas, namely entrance landscape area, fitness activity area, plant landscape area, water sports area, management service area, commercial and cultural area, Flower Bonsai area and mangrove wetland protection area. The project plans to invest 100 million yuan (including 60 million yuan invested by the government and 40 million yuan invested by the market to build supporting service facilities), and the construction period of the first phase is 15 months.

In September 2009, the construction of the park was officially started. The main construction contents include municipal, road, water conservancy, civil engineering, landscape, sculpture, greening, lighting, sound, monitoring, water supply and drainage, fire fighting and other projects. The project was completed by the end of 2010.

Main attractions

The overall pattern of the park is north and south gardens and nine scenic spots. Among them, surrounded by green water, graceful Quchi, and hanging springs and waterfalls, you can see the skill of water management; you can see the green shade like the sea, verdant trees, red grass in wetland, green bamboo and wind lotus, which shows the breadth of green making; the pavilions and pavilions in the garden, the corridor bridges, the fitness square and the sightseeing place are also skillfully set up, which shows the essence of landscape creation. It's really refreshing to be in the middle of it.
