Personal life

Qian Yuan's mother, Qian Zhongshu's wife, Yang Jiang, died at the age of 105 at 1:10 on May 25, 2016.
marriage
First husband Wang Deyi:
Li Hu, Wang Deyi's college classmate, wrote a special article in our Qian Yuan to correct the false description of Qian Yuan and Wang Deyi's marriage published in the media. Li Hu said that Qian Yuan and Wang Deyi met when they were studying in Beijing Normal University. At that time, both of them were members of the school's art team. They were responsible for painting and were very talented. At the beginning of the cultural revolution, under Qian Yuan's initiative, they decided to fall in love. In early 1968, the two married and moved into a single teacher's dormitory in the history department. After marriage, Qian Yuan and his wife had a very happy marriage. Wang Deyi had a very close relationship with Qian Zhongshu and Yang Jiang. Yang Jiang also helped Wang Deyi to have his hair cut. However, during the cultural revolution, Wang Deyi was charged with "shelling deputy commander Lin" and constantly criticized. Finally, he committed suicide on the heating pipe of the North window of his isolation room. After Wang Deyi died, Qian Yuan moved out of the dormitory of the History Department of Beijing Normal University and returned to his mother's home to live with his parents.
Second husband Yang Weicheng
A few years after Wang Deyi's death, Qian Yuan has been living a single life. It was not until 1974 that Qian Yuan and his second husband Yang Weicheng formed a new family. At this time, the son of Yang Weicheng and his ex-wife is 18 years old. Qian Yuan, who became a stepmother, won the love of Yang Weicheng's two children with his love. In our Qian Yuan, her stepdaughter and stepson wrote articles respectively, recalling the happy life of more than 20 years with her mother Qian Yuan. In their article, they also recalled the "warm weekend" Before Qian Yuan's illness. Every Saturday, Qian Yuan would buy delicious food for them from Beijing Normal University to Dengshikou. In addition to traditional snacks such as cold noodles, good beef, large mutton kebabs, and beef pies, Qian Yuan, who had lived and studied abroad, would also buy rare Western snacks for them at that time . In order not to have a generation gap with his children, whenever he had no time to watch TV, Qian Yuan would watch the TV Newspaper in advance, and then "seriously" discuss the plot of the TV play with his children.

Character evaluation

When my father married Qian Yuan, I was 18 years old and had just come to work in a factory.
I wasn't upset at the time. Because "aunt Qian Yuan" is a very easygoing person, not like a "stepmother". At that time, I still had a small calculation in my heart, "anyway, dad should get married again, so Qian Yuan is at least a good choice.". Sure enough, after Qian Yuan entered the life of the Yang family in xishicao, he started to associate with my sister and I as big friends, never making us feel like "stepmother". At the same time, we get help from her in many ways. She has a great influence on our life path. For example, when I went to college 25 years ago, I never thought that the English tutored by Qian Yuan would play such a positive role in my life. For this reason, I will always thank her!
Qian Yuan is not a housewife who is good at housework, and probably no one will ask her like this. Therefore, Qian Yuan, who is very "self-conscious", will try to make up for his "shortcomings" in other ways. For a long time, every Saturday when she should go back to xishicao, I would look forward to her, because she often brings us some delicious things Because she had to go shopping, she had to change buses several times and often got home late. If it is winter, it will be dark very early. We have prepared dinner for her at home. Sometimes it's almost seven o'clock, and my dad always says, "eat first. Mom may be here in a minute Often we just sat down to eat, the door opened, mom with the cold wind, carrying a big bag into the door. She always walks with a red face and sweat on her forehead. "Sorry, sorry, I'm late. I'm late." we're used to her appearance, and we like this evening very much.
We usually watch TV after dinner. Qian Yuan never had the time or patience to watch a TV play, but she was reluctant to be "ignorant" about it. Therefore, she always watched the TV program newspaper in advance to understand the cause and effect of a story in this way of cheating, and then happily told us: "later..." In this regard, we have "opinions" that she has destroyed the suspense.
Yang Hongjian is the stepson of Qian Yuan. He graduated from Beijing Institute of physical education and holds a master's degree in Physical Education Department of New York State University. Now he is the business manager of Beijing International Sports Exchange Center.

On March 4, 1997, Professor Qian Yuan, doctoral supervisor of Beijing Normal University, died of illness at the age of 59. She is the only daughter of Qian Zhongshu and Yang Jiang, and a classmate of my university.
In the late spring and early summer of 1960, Beijing Normal University held an exhibition on educational reform. The organizers of the exhibition are all young teachers. Qian Yuan and I were transferred from the Department of foreign languages. I work in art and she works in art. Among the students in the 59th class, there are four generals who are known as "ghosts": Wang Deyi from the history department. People read "one" as "Y ā o (demon)", which is the origin of "demon"; a person from the physics department who can do magic, deserves the Title of "demon"; a person from the biology department who has the nickname of "little ghost", of course, is "ghost"; and Qian Yuan is the only female among the four Sex, no nickname, but since the number four, it had to recognize the word "strange". "Demon" and "monster" after years of contact, love, and eventually get married, people jokingly called "monster marriage", their marriage is very happy. Ms. Yang Jiang mentioned her son-in-law Wang Deyi in six chapters of cadre school. In November 1969, when he was sending Mr. Qian to the car, Wang de came forward to help him when he saw that someone had too much luggage. The article described the mood of Mr. Qian and Mr. Yang at this time: "Tacun and I saw that he was enthusiastic about serving others, and they could not help praising the good fashion of the new society. At the same time, they comforted each other and said: Deyi (this is the name given by Mr. Qian Zhongshu to his son-in-law, and Mr. Yang always used" Deyi ") is kind, loyal and kind With him, we can rest assured. " But who would have thought that just half a year later, when Beijing Normal University was encircling and suppressing "May 16", Wang Deyi was framed and forced to commit suicide. This is the biggest blow Qian Yuan has suffered in his life. Now, 27 years later, the "monster" has gone with the "demon". On March 8, "devil" and "ghost" came together to bid farewell to the body. In those days, we sent "demons" with grief and indignation. Today, we are not "strange" with deep pain, which makes us feel a lot of emotion.
Not long ago, I saw a list of 1955 graduates from Beijing Women's No.12 Middle School. Each of them had a self introduction. Qian Yuan wrote: "after graduating in 1959, he has been working in the Department of foreign languages of Beijing Normal University. Before the cultural revolution, he taught Russian, but now he teaches English. He is also responsible for a master's degree program with English teaching as his major. It's hard to prepare for two or three professional courses every semester, but it's hard to keep learning new things. " What impresses me most is her modesty. She is the first one in our class to be promoted as a professor and doctoral advisor. However, she always feels that her original major is Russian. Now when she changes to English, she should redouble her efforts and learn while teaching. Therefore, she has the above saying of "only learning half". As a matter of fact, Qian Yuan had a good family background and a solid foundation in English. He did not stop learning English while learning Russian. When he changed to teach English in 1966, his level was not low. In 1978, he studied in Lancaster University for two years. In 1990, he visited Newcastle University to study English stylistics, pragmatics and applied linguistics. He wrote a course of English Stylistics (English version) and wrote articles such as English speech rhythm and English poetic rhyme. It is said that she came from the home of a great scholar, and her works must be attributed to her parents
