Jianxi Bridge

Jianxi bridge is located outside Jianmen pass, about two kilometers away from the pass of Jianmen pass, across dajianxi. It is the only way for ancient Shu Road from Chengdu to Zhaohua. Pengshanjian was under the command of Zhongli Prefecture in the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty. It was built of bluestone and connected by three arches. The arch ring is a split type (also known as lotus petal type). The bridge is 18.8 meters long, 4 meters wide and 7.5 meters high. The span of East portal is 5.3m, the span of West Portal is 5.2m, the span of middle arch is 5.8m and the arch height is 3.4m. The East arch is made of 26 rows of rolled stones, the middle arch is made of 30 rows of rolled stones, and the West arch is made of 23 rows of rolled stones.

The bridge deck is arc-shaped, and the stepped bridge deck is paved with slate. The bridge column is 0.6 meters high, with carved stone taps inlaid on it. The construction technology is exquisite. After hundreds of years, the shape of the bridge has not changed. There is a stone tablet at the end of Jianxi bridge, on which is engraved the poem "crossing Jianxi bridge" written by Li Bi, the governor of Jianzhou state in the Ming Dynasty (12 years of Zhengde, i.e. 1517), "seeing the mountain, Xiaodu Jianxi bridge, stepping on the fog, rushing to the foot of the horse. The existing Jianxi bridge was built in Hongzhi of Ming Dynasty (1488-1505 A.D.), which has a history of more than 500 years.
