Kong Ziya

Confucius cliff is located on the North Hill of Dongshou road in Tianjie. It is said that Confucius and his disciple Yan Zi went to Mount Tai. When they arrived here, Confucius looked southeast and saw a white horse under the gate of the capital of Wu, so it was called Confucius cliff or Wangwu peak. On the cliff, there are "Taishan qiaoyue", "Gaoshan Yangzhi" and so on.

Introduction to scenic spots

There is a Confucius Temple under Confucius cliff, which was built by Zhu Heng in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Wanli period. The buildings in the temple include the mountain gate, the main hall and the auxiliary hall, which are dedicated to Confucius and the disciples of Confucius, such as Yanzi, Zengzi, Zisi and Mencius. Today, only the ruins and the mountain gate are left. On the mountain gate is a couplet written by Xu zonggan of the Qing Dynasty: "it can be said that the height of the mountain is higher than the height of the mountain, and the strength of the mountain is stronger than the height of the mountain. It is out of its category and outstanding. It is better to climb the natural mountain." In 1984, the stone square of "Wang Wu Sheng Ji" was rebuilt in front of the temple. To the southeast of the temple is douxianyan, on which there is an inscription of "zhenyigang" written by Ming people, surrounded by many song and Yuan people. There is Luban cave on the top and Beidou platform on the north. Beidou platform was built in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. There are doors on all sides of the platform, which are connected with each other in the middle. There is a platform on the top. There are two stone pillars on the platform, which are named Li Dou. It is commonly called "Fu Bi Xing", which means "Tai Shan Bei Dou". Taiwan was destroyed in the Republic of China and rebuilt in 1984. On the top of the platform, there are granite stone railings of Mount Tai, engraved with designs such as cowherd, Weaver Girl, swan and Beidou, and in Taizhong, there is a round sundial made of stone, engraved with twelve hours. In the west of Confucius Temple is Chonggang. It is said that LV Dongbin often comes here, so it is called dengxiantai. To the west of Pandao road in front of the temple, there used to be the Longevity Palace, which was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty to worship the bronze statue of Empress Dowager Xiaoding of Jiulian Bodhisattva, and the bronze statue of Empress Dowager Xiaochun of Zhishang Bodhisattva during the Chongzhen period.
