Moruo Hall

Moruo hall is located in the northwest corner of Lingbao peak in Leshan City. It is made of a house with Chinese and Western walls. It is simple and elegant with green bricks and grey tiles. It was built in memory of Guo Moruo, a modern cultural giant born in Shawan, Leshan. The three characters "moruotang" in mene were written by Chu Tunan. On both sides of the gate are couplets written by Ma Shitu, a famous writer. The first couplet: Emei Zhong Ling, Dadu casting soul, China only cherishes, Li Shu's heart, pen swaying down the mountains and rivers, it is the real quality of a literary magnate; the second couplet: Goddess startling, Qu Yuan strong spirit, thunder and lightning for praise, Hongbo Du song, poetry into weeping ghosts and gods, as expected, a famous scholar, highly praised Guo Moruo's status and achievements in the history of Chinese literature.

On the steps about 10 meters in front of the hall stands a bronze statue of Guo Moruo, about 3 meters high. Next to the statue stands a 6.5-meter-high granite pen, engraved with goddess, Qu Yuan and Phoenix niriang patterns. The giant pen points directly at the blue sky, symbolizing Guo Moruo's eternal achievements.

Moruo hall is located in the research center and reference center of Sichuan Province. It displays pictures of Guo Moruo's life story, various versions of his works and exhibitions of his research achievements.
