Sanyudong cliff, referred to as sanyudong, is located 7 kilometers northwest of Yichang. It is a huge cave on the cliff of the north peak of Xiling mountain. It is backed by the Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, facing the Xialaoxi river. The grotesque scenery of the cave, the beautiful scenery of the cave and the spring, and the buildings, pavilions and corridors complement each other. It is a famous scenic spot in Hubei Province. The shape of Sanyou cave is covered with awning, warm in winter and cool in summer. The cave is open, about 30 meters deep, 20 meters wide and 10 meters high. Scenery

At the gate of the ticket office of Sanyou cave, there is a landmark stone of the national key cultural relics protection unit erected by the State Council of the people's Republic of China, engraved with "Sanyou cave".

After the entrance, you can go through a zigzag plank road cut from the cliff to Sanyou cave. Sanyou cave is not big, slightly rectangular, about 30 meters long, 9 to 10 meters wide, and about 10 meters high at the top. It belongs to the Cambrian geological cave 600 million years ago.

The main cave is as big as a hall, which is divided into two parts: the front cave and the back cave by three stalactites. The top of the cave is engraved with "Sanyou cave". There are many inscriptions of famous people in the past dynasties on the cave wall, including the inscriptions of Ouyang Xiu left over from the Song Dynasty, Bai Juyi's "preface to three tours to the cave" (re carved in the Ming Dynasty), Bai Juyi's statue, Su Shi's statue and other relics of more than 50 pieces.

There are stone statues of Bai Xingjian, Bai Juyi and Yuan Zhen in Sanyou cave.

The front hall is facing the entrance of Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges, where you can see the scenery of the Three Gorges. On the other side of zhangfeidu, there is a speedboat for tourists to visit Xiling Gorge.

Out of Sanyou cave, along the cliff plank road, you can get to zhangfei drum arena on the top of the mountain.
