Three wells

Three wells are the embodiment of the ancient water-saving way in Lijiang area. Three wells are made from top to bottom by using the flow potential of water. The water flows from the first pool to the third pool and then flows away. Three wells is a small pool, divided into three parts, the first for drinking water, the second for washing vegetables, the third for washing clothes.

Shouxian three wells is located in the East Street South of the post Lane next to the houses, the well is the people come and go of the vegetable market and small commodity stalls. Every day, we can see that the well of Leman Shengyin is surrounded by people who draw water to wash. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, there were 10 post stations in Shouzhou. South and North post alleys were places where postmen and soldiers could rest and feed horses. Of course, there were wells. Even if the well was built when the post station was set up, the three wells should be around 400 years old.
