Qiluo Wenchang Palace

Located on the picturesque Bank of the qiluo River, the qiluo Wenchang palace is a group of buildings designed with the integration of Confucian temple regulations and Taoist temples. It was first built in the Wanli period, and then expanded several times from the Kangxi to Guangxu period.

Wenchang palace is located in the South and North. The main gate is panchi, Lingxing gate, qianlou, main hall, Qisheng building and garden, which are arranged in turn along the North-South vertical axis.

The gate of Wenchang palace is a archway style building, with four characters "yuzhenqing Palace" engraved on the gate, "Li gate" and "Yi gate" on both sides of the gate, and two characters "Zhong" and "Xiao" on the wall.

Qiluo Wenchang Palace

Qiluo Wenchang palace was first built in 1609, the 37th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, expanded in 1740-1744, and rebuilt in 1851, the first year of Xianfeng. It is located in xiaqiluo village, Tengyue Town, 4 kilometers south of the county, covering an area of nearly 5348 square meters.

With a total construction area of about 2240 square meters, it is a group of architectural communities built by combining Confucian temple regulations with Taoist temples. The whole building is famous for its large scale, magnificent style and exquisite workmanship. It well preserves the structural characteristics and practices of the local cultural relics at that time. It is an ancient architectural complex with complete plane layout in Tengchong, and also a precious resource for the study of Ming and Qing wooden buildings in Yunnan Physical examples have high historical and cultural value and artistic value. In 1998, it was announced as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level by the provincial people's government.

After more than 400 years of wind and rain and human destruction during the cultural revolution, the whole building community is basically well preserved, but most of them are rotten and need timely rescue and maintenance.
