Yuqian ancestral hall in Beijing is located at No.23, xiliangbei Hutong. The original plaque reads "yuzhongsu ancestral hall". Yu Qian (1398-1457) was born in Qiantang, Zhejiang Province. After the civil engineering revolution, Yu Qian established Zhu Qiyu as emperor and led the army and the people to defend Beijing. After the restoration of Yingzong, Yu Qian was killed in the first year of Tianshun (1457) with the crime of conspiracy. In the second year of Chenghua (1466), Emperor Xianzong issued a special edict to recognize and restore the official. The former residence was changed into Zhongjie temple.
