Jiji Wuchang Palace

As early as 1903, the local gentry Yang Tianshou, Chen Yusheng and Chen Yaxing raised money to build the god statue. The true spirit came down from Nanyan palace of Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province. It is very powerful for saving people, praying for rain and curing diseases.

In 1979, Mr. Huang Chaoting donated 470 Ping land to build the temple base. In 1980, the construction of Wuchang palace took eight years. The construction cost was about NT $70 million. In the early morning of September 21, 1988, a 7.3 Richter scale earthquake occurred. As it was at the center of the earthquake, the whole temple collapsed. Fortunately, the believers rescued the statue in the aftershock.

Later, it was said that the beard of the manifesting miracle grew longer and longer, and there was an endless stream of manifesting miracle believers. We intended to build this place as our town's 921 Earthquake Museum as a teaching material in the future.
