Mingxin Academy

Mingxin academy, located next to Yongchang primary school in Jiji Town, is a traditional courtyard building. It was built in 1885 to honor the emperor Wenchang, master Ziyang and the master of word making. It is the pioneering work of Jiji Yixue. The main body of the academy is the main hall and the wing rooms on both sides. In front of the hall is Dacheng, which is the place where the Confucius is worshipped every year. Outside the hall, there is a record of Mingxin academy, which records the history of the Academy. In the courtyard, there are a lot of ancient rural utensils, such as mortar, stone mill, plow, coir raincoat, etc.

Guangxu years ago, the ancestors worshipped the main God, Emperor Wenchang, and the most holy teacher in Jiji. One day, they inspected houpuzai in Zhushan Town. When they passed through the caotan, they found that there were monsters in the pool. Emperor Wenchang showed his spirit and subdued the demons. Since then, it was very quiet. Later, the ancestors built a temple to commemorate it.

Mingxin academy is located in Nantou, Taiwan. In 1875, the gentry of jijibao organized Jiji society. In the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Chen Changjiang initiated the construction of an academy in Jiji street by raising 1800 yuan. Lin Guangxiang, Dong Qishi, Chen Changjiang as prime minister, and Miaozhu as a person were employed. The expenses were borne by the street shops. He worshiped emperor Wenchang, the forerunner of word making, Cangjie and Zhuxi. In the 28th year, Lin Dalong, the administrator, donated more than 20a of the Academy land and temple land to jijizhuang service yard for the construction of Jigong school. In the 34th year, it was moved to the current site of chaiqiaotou village and is now Yongchang primary school.
