Longteng Bridge

Tengduan bridge, commonly known as "nuomi bridge", also known as "yutengping bridge", was built in 1905 with beautiful environment.

Longteng Bridge

Longteng broken bridge is commonly known as nuomi bridge, also known as yutengping broken bridge, located in Longteng village, Sanyi Township, Miaoli County. The mountain railway from Tai'an to Shengxing is about 200 meters long, crossing yutengping river. The Longteng bridge was completed in the 40th year of Meiji. It is an arched structure made of red bricks. The bridge deck is 50 meters above the ground. It is the highest bridge in the mountain railway. At that time, it was also known as the best art of Taiwan Railway. Unfortunately, it was broken in 1935 due to the earthquake in Guandao mountain. Now there are only six piers in the north and four piers in the south for tourists to hang on.

We can feel the magnificent scene of the train whistling past with smoke and whistle from the remaining piers of Longteng bridge. At present, the Qingtian stump of yutengping bridge is located in the east side of the new railway and the iron bridge. With the waste smoke and grass, it forms a strong space-time contrast with the modern train whistling past occasionally

From Longteng broken bridge to Liyutan iron bridge, the tunnels No.3, No.4, No.5 and No.6 are continuously combined. Due to their short length, the middle of the tunnel is transparent, and the photos are bright and dark. It feels like you are in the light and shadow of the time tunnel.

After the mountain line section of Longteng bridge officially entered history, the Railway Bureau preserved the railways, stations and tunnels at that time so far, in order to let the people witness this glorious history.

Sanyi interchange goes down Zhongshan high, then takes provincial road 13 to Sanyi, turns right into Miao 49 Township Road, and reaches Longteng broken bridge. Public transport:

1. In front of Miaoli railway station, take the bus from Hsinchu to Sanyi. Get off at Sanyi station and then take a taxi to reach Longteng broken bridge.

2. Get off at Sanyi station and take a taxi to reach Longteng bridge.
