Nanshan Lake Scenic Spot

Nanshan lake is 11 kilometers long and covers an area of more than 4000 mu. It is surrounded by towering ancient trees and beautiful mountains and rivers. In the southwest of the lake is the famous Shuangxi River in history. Li Qingzhao, a great poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, once lived and boated here, leaving a well-known legacy The poem Wulingyuan written by Zhu Xi and LV Guishu in the Song Dynasty says, "if you are afraid of a boat in Shuangxi, you won't be able to carry a lot of worries." Zhu Xi and LV Guishu once founded lumen academy to give lectures here, which is one of the birthplaces of Neo Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty. The lake area is an excellent scenic tourist attraction with dense forests, beautiful lakes, steep rocks, strange rocks, waterfalls, secluded pools, beautiful peaks and cliffs. Nanshan lake is located in the south of Shengzhou City, three hours' drive from Shanghai and Wenzhou. Nanshan lake dam is magnificent. Four kilometers of the lake is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the scenery is very charming and spectacular. There are dam views, taohuachunwu, Shilian Qingyin and Nanshan Xueqing. The scenic spot is elegant and unique, with profound cultural heritage and strong primitive flavor, which is an ideal place for tourism. On December 2, Wang Xingguo, director of the Forest Park Management Department of the State Forestry Administration, led the forest park investigation team of the State Forestry Administration to Shengzhou City to apply for promotion of Nanshan Lake Forest Park to National Forest Park. The members of the investigation team were accompanied by Dr. Chen Xinfeng of the Forest Park Management Department of the State Forestry Administration, Professor Liu binyi of Tongji University, director Wang Zhangming of the afforestation department of Zhejiang Forestry Department, Vice Mayor Lu Bing of Shengzhou Municipal People's government, director Xie Yaxiang of the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau, and director Liu Ming of the Municipal Forestry Bureau.
