Ancient city of qinghiar

Qinghiar old city, also known as big old city (Uighur, meaning big city). It is the remains of Han and Tang Dynasties. It is located in the East Lake Gobi, 60 km southeast of Kuqa County.

The city is slightly round, with the remaining foundation about 0.6 meters high and 924 meters in circumference. There is a decadent mound about 120 meters around it, and its original shape is difficult to distinguish. According to the research, this old city is slightly similar to the old city of zhuoliteqin in Luntai County. It may be the Xiaowei city built by Tian Zu during the Han Dynasty. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit in the autonomous region.
