Nanshan cliff carvings in Yingde is one of the three major stone carvings in Guangdong. Nanshan has a dangerous terrain and beautiful scenery. The Beijiang River flows rapidly under the cliff. The stone carvings along the river stretch for more than 150 meters. The calligraphy is colorful and the content is rich. There are more than 70 cliff carvings from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. The earliest stone carvings are nanyanting Ji written by Li Fan in the sixth year of Yuanhe (811) and Yuanjie's Yuangu Ming of Zhenyang Guoye kaidongling in the eleventh year of Yuanhe (816). The most famous stone inscriptions are the inscription of Sushi's Nanshan in the first year of Shaosheng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1094) and the inscription of MITI, a famous calligrapher and painter. There are hot and cold rocks near the river, which is also a tourist attraction.
