Bazhaigou

Bazhaigou is located in Shiwandashan, Guangxi. It is a national 4A scenic spot. It is located in Dongli village, Guitai Town, the hinterland of Shiwandashan, more than 50 kilometers northwest of Qinbei District, Qinzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is one of the source rivers of Qinzhou Dasi river. It belongs to the dalongling watershed system, the branch of Shiwandashan, and is located at the north foot of Shiwandashan.

Bazhaigou climate belongs to south subtropical monsoon climate, beautiful scenery, profound cultural heritage, rich historical sites, can carry out patriotic education, revolutionary tradition education.

Bazhaigou tourist area has convenient transportation, rich tourism resources and convenient transportation. It can directly reach the scenic area with high speed. The roads into the scenic area are all concrete and asphalt roads. The mountains in the scenic area overlap and the forest sea is vast. It is a good area for the protection and restoration of forest vegetation in Southeast Guangxi.

Historical evolution

Bazhaigou has a long history and is famous for its beautiful scenery. It is said that it used to be eight villages. Villagers make a living by picking star anise in the eight kilometer long valley, so bazhaigou is named after it. Before liberation, due to the long-term banditry, villagers fled one after another, and the rugged roads in the mountains were hard to walk, so that there were few people. It became a deep mountain canyon isolated from the world. After liberation, it belonged to Qinbei Tongzu Autonomous County.

After the reform and opening up, bazhaigou became more and more famous, attracting the surrounding people to come to visit.

In 2004, Guangxi and Qinzhou Municipal Government jointly developed and protected bazhaigou, and built Qinzhou bazhaigou scenic spot. Like Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, it also has many intoxicating landscapes.

Located in Dongli village of Guitai Town, it is one of the source rivers of Dasi River in Qinzhou. It belongs to dalongling watershed water system, a branch of Shiwandashan Mountain. It is located at the north foot of Shiwandashan Mountain, bordering Yongning in the north, Shangsi county and Fangcheng in the northwest. The scenic spot runs diagonally from northeast to southwest, 9 km from east to west and 11 km from north to south, covering a total area of 3262.22 hectares.

The annual average temperature is 21.3-22.4 ℃, the lowest temperature is 18-19 ℃, the highest temperature is 26.1-26.5 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 1203.6-2820 mm, the annual average relative humidity is 82%, and the annual average sunshine hours is 1783 hours.

Bazhaigou, belonging to Shiwandashan, is mainly composed of Indosinian granite porphyry, granite and rare sand shale. The Himalayan movement was affected by the intrusion of granites, which resulted in the formation of bending mountain ravine landform and the unique geographical structure of bazhaigou.

Bazhaigou, one of the main rivers in the scenic area, is a tributary of Maoling River and flows into Beibu Gulf of South China Sea.

natural resources

The vegetation in bazhaigou scenic area basically belongs to primitive shrubbery, subtropical broad-leaved forest and bamboo forest, with pine, Phyllostachys pubescens, Cunninghamia lanceolata, banyan and other vegetation. In addition, there are some rare tree species, such as banyan, Gemu, Bauhinia, tielengge, sightseeing wood, and many rare medicinal materials, such as honeysuckle, huangqizi, gouguteng, etc.

There are many kinds of rare animals in bazhaigou. Such as monkeys, boars, civets, pangolins, python, as well as a variety of birds, dragonflies and other insects.

Main attractions

Longzhu Lake

Located outside the gate of bazhaigou scenic area, it is a man-made lake. The lake is broad and surrounded by mountains on three sides. You can take a wooden boat to visit the scenery of Longzhu lake. There is an artificial waterfall outside the concrete dam. Below the waterfall is a deep pool. There is an antique water cart, which keeps turning under the driving of running water. 　　

Fun water area

The back of bazhaigou hotel is a fun water park, the main body is plum forest, cherry forest, peach forest, with stage, water wheel, swing bridge, flower Gallery, folk wall, etc. for tourists to play and rest.

Grandfather Shenshu

After entering the scenic area, there is a gentle slope. The gate goes straight 80 meters, next to the temple of God tree Grandfather Mountain. According to legend, God tree grandfather is the protector of the local people, and praying can help them achieve what they want.

Subtropical forest

It is not far from the entrance of the scenic spot. There are cobblestone paths, winding paths, large bamboo forests and subtropical precious forest. The primeval forest has lush trees, humid climate and high oxygen ion content. It is a good place for health preservation.

Fairy pool

It is the first big pool in bazhaigou. It can be reached from the amorous forest through the stone bridge. It is said that there was a fairy bathing here. Its water can make the skin more delicate, tender and smooth. The environment is deep and quiet, and the water is not deep. It is most suitable for women to bathe.

Mandarin duck pool

It is located above the fairy pool, where the spring water is clear, the shade is green, and there is a small waterfall formed by running water. It is a good place for lovers to take a bath.

Crescent pool

It is the largest mountain spring bath in bazhaigou, which can accommodate many people to play and swim together.

Huixian pool

This pool is shallow and suitable for children and tourists with poor water quality.

General pool

Bazhaigou is the deepest natural pool in bazhaigou. The water is green and cold. It is a good place for swimming in summer. There is a rock platform beside it to experience diving activities. There are springs and waterfalls on the top of it. Visitors can stand or lie down to flush the springs.

Good luck tree

It is said that a hundred year old tree in bazhaigou is hung with red silk to pray for family happiness.

Hongyantan

It is one of the unique scenic spots in bazhaigou, where the water is shallow and the water flow is gentle. At the bottom of the pool, there are large red and yellow rocks, which set off each other with the surrounding green mountains and forests. The scenery is beautiful.

The Jade Pool

Located in the highest part of bazhaigou scenic area, Tianchi is the main water source of bazhaigou, where the lake and mountain scenery are unique.

Features of scenic spots

Bazhaigou is not as famous as Jiuzhaigou, but it is hidden in the south. It is small, delicate and charming. Although there is a word difference between the two, there is no comparability. It is also beautiful, but far from each other. Bazhaigou is unique in Lingnan and subtropical rainforest. Bazhaigou is a virgin land hiding in the boudoir to treat people. It is a cool world for exploring the valley and releasing summer mood.

It is a good area for forest vegetation protection and restoration in Southeast Guangxi because of overlapping mountains, cloud and fog barriers and vast forest sea. In bazhai ravine, there are green trees and small streams. The scenery is beautiful and quiet. Waterfalls of different sizes can be seen at any time with the extension of the mountain stream. The deep pool at the bottom of the stream is frightening. It can accommodate a hundred people to shelter from the wind and rain, the ancient legend of the thief king village, the scenery of yunraoshan to Yingpan, fairy play pool, Niulang Zhinv bridge (ancient stone bridge), and the primitive forest of pine, autumn and rattan, animals walking and birds singing, covering the sky and earth, etc.

Bazhaigou has a 8 km long sandy shale mountain ravine landform. The whole scenic area is dominated by water. It rains a lot in summer, so summer is undoubtedly the best season for bazhaigou tourism. However, due to the heavy rain, you should choose a sunny day to visit. The clear spring water in summer makes people feel very fresh, which is the best place for summer. The sub tropical rain forest, bamboo forest, clear mountain streams and waterfalls, springs and pools of different sizes and peculiar sand shale landforms in Gouli form a well-known tourist attraction in Wuhai area of southern Guangxi, which integrates adventure, leisure and summer sightseeing.

Bazhai Valley has a stone bottom, clear spring water flowing through, 8 kilometers of valley is full of large and small nearly 100 stone pools, these stone pools from low to high into a ladder arrangement, forming a natural bath, big as three or four meters deep, can accommodate hundreds of people at the same time; small as a bathtub, only one or two people into the bath.

Qinzhou characteristic performance

During the "May Day" golden week in 2014, bazhaigou scenic spot ushered in the peak of passenger flow. The scenic spot held an art performance with unique characteristics of Qinzhou Zhuang village, which was held in the square at the entrance of bazhaigou scenic spot. The performance included Zhuang song and dance, musical instrument performance and other programs. The actors also sang the original song "beautiful scenery of bazhaigou" and so on. It is understood that during the May Day period, there will be a performance at 10:30 a.m. and 14:00 p.m. every day.

Travel Tips

1. When you go to bazhaigou, you must go into the water to enjoy yourself. You must bring swimsuits, swimming trunks and sandals;

2. Before traveling, eat Chinese food and then go to the scenic spot, or bring dry food and mineral water;

3. Generally, tourists are advised to visit Tiesuo bridge. Those who have time and energy can go directly to the source along the valley, but it takes a long time.

After arriving at the scenic spot, take a wooden boat to visit Longzhu Lake (at your own expense, 10 yuan / person; 30 minutes); go to a restaurant for Chinese food (1 hour); then take a walk in the bamboo forest and subtropical forest for oxygen, and feel the fresh breath of the Virgin forest (20 minutes). When you get to Shiqiao, you can take photos and watch wild fish in the mountain stream (15 minutes).
