Jiuling Lake

Jiuling lake is located about 12 kilometers southeast of Guigang City Center, 3 kilometers away from the intersection of Liubei highway (National Highway 209) and Guiheng highway. The lake water is clean and pollution-free all year round, warm in winter and cool in summer. The lakeshore is a continuous rolling mountain range, vast and green, connected by mountains and rivers, heavy mountains and emerald.

Jiuling reservoir has clear water, fresh air, beautiful scenery and charming environment. The address is located in Hanping village, Shika Town, qintang District, Guigang City, with 109 ° 28 ′ E and 22 ° 59 ′ n, 8km away from shika town and 20km straight-line distance from Guigang City Center. There are 206 National Highway and Guiheng highway nearby. It belongs to linqiaojiang branch, a branch of Yujiang River in Pearl River system. The catchment area above the dam site is 21.32km2, with the highest dam height of 8.72m. There is one main dam and three auxiliary dams. The annual maximum average runoff of the reservoir is 53.1m3, the normal water level is 54.45m, the design flood level is 55.11m, the check flood level is 55.36m, and the operation water level is 54.45m. The reservoir has a total capacity of 17.91 million m3, an effective capacity of 16.39 million m3 and a dead capacity of 1.52 million m3. The designed irrigation area is 20500 mu, the actual irrigation area is 9000 mu, and the downstream population is 42500. It is a medium-sized reservoir mainly for irrigation and comprehensive utilization of flood control, aquaculture and tourism.

According to the survey, there are three big springs in Jiuling reservoir, which are directly connected to the underground river system. They flow all the year round, and because of the topography, they converge into Jiuling lake over time.

In the lake, there is an island in the middle of the lake, which covers an area of nearly 1 mu. There is a "Jiulong Pavilion" on the island. On the West and south sides of the lake stand the majestic and magnificent stone mountain groups. There are three rocks and six caves in the mountains. The streams in the caves are long and the rare bell milk is unique.
