Tiexi scenic spot is one of the top ten scenic spots of Wuyang River, a national key scenic spot. It is located 4-14 kilometers north of Zhenyuan County, with a total area of 50 square kilometers and a total length of 21 kilometers. The tour route of the core scenic spot is 12 kilometers.

Tiexi is a mountain stream. It is located 4 kilometers northeast of the ancient town. It flows 21 kilometers into Wuyang river. There are Ganxi River, maluhe River, Longchi River, wengzhong River, duzhufeng and other scenic spots. Each scene has its own merits. The grotesque caves of wengzhong River, the blue and unfathomable depths of Longtan water, and the deep forests and canyons are fascinating. There are 50 chapters in the famous literary work scholars, but three chapters are used to describe Zhenyuan. In Chapter 43, Wu Jingzi wrote about Tiexi, the place where the Dragon God married his sister.

In the scenic area, the canyon is deep, the river bed is narrow, the river is fast, the bank is steep, the forest is covered, the stone is huge, the shoal, the karst cave star falls all over the place, and there is the famous "Longtan". The Longtan covers an area of 300 square meters, and the water is blue and unfathomable. Walking into Tiexi, a clear stream is flowing merrily at your feet, and the dense vegetation on both sides of the river is green to the eye. Through a thick water bamboo forest, you will be shocked by the pool of water in front of you! The pool is as calm as a mirror, deep and bottomless, with a strange blue luster. This blue is not sky blue or treasure blue in ordinary sense, but blue like the sea, with the beauty and profundity of the sea. No one will break the tranquility and mystery in front of them. They often hold their breath for fear of scaring away the immortal spirit of Longtan.

Because of the characteristics of the river bed and the different sections it flows through, there are different names: the section from the source to maluhe village is called "Ganxi"; the section from maluhe village to Longtan is called "maluhe"; the section from Longtan to heitanggoukou is called "Longtang River"; the section from heitanggou to Xinqiao karst cave is called "wengzi River"; the section from Xinqiao karst cave to tiexikou is called "tieshanxi".

The literati and bureaucrats often travel in the south, or they hate it because they can't swim." Wu Jingzi, a famous writer in the Qing Dynasty, was also attracted by the local Miao customs and natural scenery in Tiexi, and incorporated the story of "Tiexi Dragon God marrying his sister" into the 43rd chapter of scholars.
