Ancient tombs in Watershed

Fenshuiling tomb group is located in the north of Changzhi City, which is an ancient tomb group. The cultural relics and historic sites in Mu tombs provide rich material materials for the study of the ancient history and culture of Changzhi. Since 1957, the city museum has carried out a planned excavation and cleaning of the tombs in the watershed with the cooperation of the Chinese Material Department of Shanxi Province. More than 270 tombs in the spring and Autumn period, the war garden, the Han Dynasty and beyond have been excavated. A large number of stone tools, bronzes, jades, pottery, porcelain, glazed ware, bronzes, ironware and other thousands of pieces have been unearthed, including ritual, musical instruments, weapons, chariots and horses, decorative and other precious cultural relics.

The Chema pit of watershed Warring States period was excavated in 1972. In the pit, there are two rows of wooden cars, a total of 17 cars, with single shaft and two wheels. Many of these cultural relics are rare, such as cuojin Tongdou, tongxiliren qingpan, huoerlei, tillangxiang, wuzhupan, yichengzhichaoge, Bianzhong, etc. among them, cuojin Tongdou, tongxiliren qingpan and other cultural relics have also been selected and sent to foreign exhibitions. Fenshuiling tomb group is an underground treasure of great archaeological value in Changzhi City.
