Three unique steles in Xuchang

The three unique steles, namely the stele of Shouchan Biao and the stele of Gongqing general shangzunhao, are located in the Han Xiandi temple in Fancheng Town, 17 kilometers southwest of Xuchang City, Henan Province.

The stele is 3.22 meters high, 1.02 meters wide and 0.28 meters thick. It is in Gui shape. On it is inscribed with the seal script "Shou Chan Biao" in Yangwen. There are 22 lines of inscriptions, 49 characters in each line, 1 inch and 2 minutes in the official script. The content first clarifies that abdication is a virtue of ancient times, and then extols Cao Pi's "Qi Guang sun and moon, material and three levels", including "the posture of Yao and Shun", "the labor of Bo and Yu", "the strategy of yin and Tang" and "the Ming of Zhou Wu",

At the firm invitation of general Gongqing, he "returned to the army with a thousand worries. As for the second, as for the third", he built a spirit altar in Fanyang (now Fancheng town) and held a ceremony of accepting Zen.

The stele is 3.22 meters high, 1.02 meters wide and 0.32 meters thick. It is GUI shaped and has a stele on it. The seal script on the forehead of the stele is engraved with the eight characters of "Gongqing general's honorific performance". There are 22 lines on the front and 10 lines on the back. Each line has 49 characters, 1 inch and 2 minutes in size. The content is that the Minister of Wei Wenwu asked Cao Pi to be emperor of Han Dynasty. The memorial said that "the emperor of the Han Dynasty worshipped the mandate of heaven to consolidate the Zen, and the officials respected the mandate of heaven to consolidate the request.". Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty abdicated and Cao Pi replaced the Han Dynasty. Before and after the memorial, 46 officials were listed.

The two steles are all inscribed by Wang Longwen, Liang Hushu and Zhong Yao, which are called "three Jue", namely "Wen Biao Jue", "calligraphy Jue" and "engraved Jue". They have great historical value and artistic value.
