Youdingfu temple in Nanping is located in Fengchi village, Nanshan Town, 28 kilometers east of Nanping City. The temple was built in 1316, the third year of the Yuan Dynasty. It was built by you Yiren, the ninth grandson of you Dingfu.

Historical evolution

It was rebuilt four times in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The present temple is a relic of the 17th year of Daoguang (1837) of the Qing Dynasty, and its main part is basically intact. In 1988, you's descendants raised money for maintenance and set up a memorial hall for you Dingfu in the temple.

allusion

Youwu, whose name is Dingfu, was born in Fulong village, Changping, Masha Town, Jianyang City. He is a neo Confucianist of the Northern Song Dynasty, one of the four disciples of Chengmen, and one of the masters of the allusion "Chengmen Lixue". His grandson moved to Nanshan Town of Nanping to build a memorial temple. The temple covers an area of 1197 square meters, with a construction area of 646 square meters. Some of its architectural wood carving patterns were included in the Chinese art atlas. There are six couplets and five plaques in the temple. Next to the shrine, there are five steles from yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, which record the historical facts of the descendants of you Xun's moving and building the temple, as well as the life and career of the four sages in Yanping.
