Yutai mountain stone pagoda
Yutai mountain stone pagoda, a national key cultural relic protection unit, is located on the hillside of Yutai mountain in the north of Baoning Town, Langzhong City. It is a covered bowl Lama pagoda. The tower is 8.6 meters high and is divided into three parts: tower base, tower body and tower brake. The base of the tower is square and carved with four petals of plum shaped xumizuo. The body of the tower is a long cylinder with a Buddha sitting on the lotus platform. The top is equipped with a tower brake, and there are stone carvings of eight strong men lifting the brake body. The body of the brake is a six square pillar with a Buddha on each side. The top of the tower is a flame like pebble. The stone pagoda is exquisitely carved and basically preserved except for local weathering. Yutaishan stone pagoda has no definite architectural age. According to its shape characteristics, it can be inferred that it was built in the Tang Dynasty. The figure modeling, decoration and tower body modeling of yutaishan stone pagoda have obvious characteristics of Tang Dynasty, which is an important material for the study of pagoda style stone architecture.

Twenty years ago, a British architect went to Langzhong for an investigation. He spent most of his time in front of the stone pagoda and found an amazing phenomenon: the pagoda is "slanting" no matter from any angle. The unique visual effect has caused a sensation in the cultural relics and architectural circles.
