Wu Shi nanmu Hall

Nanmu hall is the former residence of Wu Shi, a Jinshi in Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty. Yixing City for the protection of cultural relics units.

Wu family has been loyal and good for generations. Wu official was born in an official family. He once served as head of the household department and Deputy envoy of tixue. Later, he was promoted to Sipin to participate in politics. Because of his anger, Yan Song was in charge of the country, so he took care of his illness and lived in seclusion in the countryside. Wu Shizhai was built in the Ming Dynasty, which was originally located in the West Temple Lane and Baiguo lane of Yicheng

In 1993, according to the urban master plan, the old city was transformed. The municipal government decided to move Wushi nanmu hall to the new Jiubin Park, and restore its original appearance. Some beams and columns were made of materials (nanmu) removed from the original hall. Wu Shi nanmu hall covers an area of nearly 2000 square meters, surrounded by a memorial forest.
