Xiuguluan stream, which originates from the central mountains and Tianshan Mountains, converges from south to north with rivers such as Qingshui stream, tabila stream, Hongye stream and Fuyuan stream, and flows to the Pacific Ocean at Mizuho, where Mizuho's old name "Shuiwei" comes from

Xiugulan River crosses two plates, Eurasian plate and Philippine Plate. The central mountain belongs to Eurasian plate. Xiugulan river cuts the coastal mountains to the east of Mizuho and enters Philippine Plate. Siouguluan River

Hsiukuluan river is a river in zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, Taiwan Province. It originates from the xiugulan mountain in the central mountain range. Its upstream flows northward along the Huadong Valley to Ruisui, then turns eastward to cross the coastal mountain range and enters the sea at dagangkou. The total length of the river is about 104 km, and the total drainage area is about 1, It covers an area of 700 square kilometers and is the largest river in Eastern Taiwan. Because of the winding river, boating is popular every summer. Xiuguluan river originates from xiuguluan mountain in the central mountain range of zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, Taiwan Island. Its source is 3200 meters above sea level. It flows northward along the Huadong longitudinal valley from the upstream through zhuoxi, Fuli, Yuli and Ruisui, and then crosses the coastal mountain range to the East and enters the sea at Dagang Port.

Basic introduction

Xiuguluan river is 90 km long, with a drainage area of 1790 square kilometers and an average slope of 1:34. Xiugulan stream is the largest river in Eastern Taiwan and the main river forming Huadong longitudinal valley alluvial fan. The main tributaries are Fuyuan River, Hongye River, Fengping River, zhuoxi River and LeLe river. Taiwan's first arch single span long bridge is built at the mouth of the lower reaches of the xiugulan river. It is like a rainbow lying across the river and rushing through the turbulent stream. It is named Changhong bridge. The section from Ruisui to dagangkou in the lower reaches of xiugulan river is about 24 km long. Because the river cuts through the coastal mountains to form a valley, the meandering and terraced topography are very developed. The section from Ruisui to Qimei cuts through the layered sedimentary rocks to form a bow shaped cliff bank, which is gentle and steep with unique landscape. The section from Qimei to dagangkou cuts through the hard igneous rocks to develop into a meandering valley with steep rock walls In the changhongqiao section, boulders are scattered and eroded by the stream for many years, resulting in all kinds of white jade like rocks, so it is called xiugu Shuyu.

From June to July every year, there is a boating season in xiuguluan river.

1. "National highway" No.5: from "national highway" No.1 (Zhongshan high) to Xizhi system interchange, turn to "national highway" No.5 (Beiyi Expressway), cross Xueshan tunnel, drive from su'ao interchange to Taiwan No.9, and reach Ruisui Township, then reach xiuguluan river.

2. "National highway" No.5: from "national highway" No.3 (second high) to Nangang system interchange, turn to "national highway" No.5 (Beiyi Expressway), then go through Xueshan tunnel and drive from su'ao interchange to Taiwan No.9 direction. After arriving at Ruisui Township, you can reach xiuguluan river.
