Chongsheng Temple in Xuefeng

Xuefeng Chongsheng temple is located at the south foot of Dahu Xuefeng mountain in Minhou County, 66.5km away from Fuzhou City. Xuefeng mountain was originally named Xianggu peak, which spans four counties of Minhou, Luoyuan, Gutian and Minqing. Because there is still snow in the summer months, it is renamed Xuefeng.

Xuefeng Chongsheng temple was built in the 11th year of Xiantong in Tang Dynasty. Yicun was a famous monk in the history of Buddhism in China. In the fourth year of the Tang Dynasty, he was granted the title of "master Zhenjue" and a purple cassock. In the third year of Guanghua, Xuefeng temple was renamed "yingtiantianfu Temple". In the third year of the Taiping reign of Song Dynasty, the temple was named "Xuefeng Chongsheng Temple", which has been used for a long time. In its heyday, the temple had three main halls, three Chan halls and seven Zhai halls, with more than 1500 monks. It was the birthplace of the two branches of Chinese Zen, "Cloud Gate" and "fayan". It had a far-reaching influence in the history of Zen and was known as "the first in the South jungle".

There are 24 old scenes in Xuefeng, such as xianggufeng, lantianzhuang, kumuan, Manjusri terrace, jinaoqiao, douyuechi, yingchaoquan, Wuzi stele, etc. in the temple, the precious beiyejing of Tang Dynasty, the treasure of zhensi, such as Myanmar jade Buddha, thousand Buddha pagoda base, and wood carving Guanyin of Tang Dynasty, are all rare treasures. In the temple, there are also 100 mu peony garden, thousand pearl plum blossom, thousand leaf Baolian, zhensi Liushan and other precious ancient trees. Taking advantage of the characteristics of low latitude and high altitude, Xuefeng Temple introduced Peony from Heze, Shandong Province, successfully cultivated more than 100 mu, and built "Southern peony garden of Xuefeng Temple".

After a comprehensive renovation and reconstruction, Xuefeng temple has now restored a construction area of more than 300 mu. The existing main buildings include Daxiong hall, Tianwang hall, Zen hall, FA hall, ancestor memorial hall, kaimiao pagoda courtyard, Yunshui hall, Weituo hall, Kumu nunnery, Zunke hall, Zhaitang, abbot tower, bell Drum Tower, inner and outer Mountain Gate, with a total of more than 130 monks. There are many tourism resources around the Xuefeng temple, which are closely linked with the scenic Xuefeng mountain. Shiniu mountain scenic spot

The mount Niushan scenic area is located in the natural village of Wutong Li, East Yao village, Tai Hu Township, Minhou county. It is only more than 60 kilometers away from Fuzhou. The scenic spot is famous for its waterfalls, especially the more than 20 waterfalls in the scenic spot, such as Shuiliandong waterfall, Guanyin waterfall and "Sandie" waterfall. Among them, Shuiliandong waterfall is the most spectacular, with a drop of more than 100 meters. The water rushes down the fault cliff and flies down. Feilian waterfall falls 28 meters down from the mountain depression. The waterfall bed is like a deliberately built surfing slide, with smooth arc. In addition, there are Huaxian waterfall and Sanqu waterfall.

The caves in Shiniu mountain scenic spot are various, either hanging on the cliff, or winding and secluded, hidden in deep mountains and dense forests, which is a major feature of the scenic spot. Queen cave is the representative of karst caves in the scenic spot. The Queen's cave is 20 meters deep, 30 meters wide and 19 meters high, which can accommodate more than 800 people. It seems that the smooth roof and stone wall in the cave are formed by the long-term erosion and weathering of the water in the rock joints and streams.

The biggest feature of Shiniu mountain is that the original vegetation is well preserved. Especially in wanteng Valley, which is known as "Xishuangbanna in Fuzhou", it is full of vitality, with ancient trees climbing upside down and exotic flowers and plants growing everywhere. Chinese herbal medicines such as staghorn vine, sheep horn vine, chicken blood vine and parasitic vine grow all over the valley. There are also three flower skin rubber vines, which are like golden Python climbing on the cliff. In addition, there are some rare wild protected animals such as giant salamander in the scenic area.

Memorial Tower of Anti Japanese soldiers

Dahu memorial tower is located in Fudao mountain, southwest of Dahu village, Dahu Township, Minhou County. It is the patriotic education base of Fuzhou City. The memorial tower was built in 1945 to commemorate the soldiers of the 25th group army of the Kuomintang who died in the battle of Dahu in May 1941 to resist the invasion of the Japanese army. It contains the remains of more than 200 soldiers killed in the battle. The Great Lake campaign was the most disastrous defeat since the Japanese invasion of South China, which greatly inspired the Anti Japanese spirit of Fujian people. In 1971, under the influence of the far left route of the "Cultural Revolution", the memorial tower was destroyed. In 1999, it was restored according to its original appearance, covering an area of 300 square meters. It is a square shaped bluestone structure.

Longyang Temple

Dahu Longyang temple is located in the north of Yangxia village, Dahu Township, in the northern mountainous area of Minhou County, 58 kilometers away from Fuzhou City. It was presided over by shikehua and shikexian in the second year of Kangxi, and gradually withered after the 14th year of Guangxu. The whole temple has only broken walls. Therefore, it is hard to check the time when the temple was first built. Later, in 1990, master Shi chuanlai and benefactor Chen bangfa raised funds to rebuild the temple. From the excavation of the old temple, several long sealed and yellow scriptures, bronze statue of Guanyin and small copper cornucopia were found. And in the ancient well behind the Guanyin Pavilion, two golden crabs buried several meters deep were excavated, which is rare.
