Barra Square

In front of MAGE temple is the square in front of the gate of MAGE temple in the south of Macao Peninsula. It's named after its location in front of the mage temple. It's one of the tourist attractions for tourists from all over the world to visit Macao. There is Shouxin street near Qiandi, the north end is mage inclined lane, and the south end is connected with mage Shangjie.

On October 28, 1998, at the top of dieshitang, the highest point of Macao, Luhuan Island, the world's tallest statue of Mazu was completed. Its designer is Liang Wanping, President of Macao's Chinese Painting Academy. The statue is 19.99 meters high, symbolizing Macao's return to the motherland on December 20, 1999. This statue of Mazu is inlaid with 120 pieces of white marble. The face of Mazu is carved with a complete white marble. The statue of Mazu weighs more than 500 tons. Its body is crystal white, and its face is kind and gentle. Overlooking the sea of Macao, it is like paying close attention to Macao all the time.
