Guangzhou Pioneer Park for overseas Chinese was established in 1999, located in Guangzhou Science City. It is a demonstration site jointly approved by the Ministry of science and technology, the Ministry of education, the Ministry of personnel and the Bureau of foreign experts. It is jointly built with the Ministry of education and the Ministry of science and technology of the people's Republic of China. It is also the only national entrepreneurship Park for overseas Chinese in Guangdong Province. Known as the "intelligence fair", Guangzhou Science and technology exchange meeting for Chinese overseas students was initiated and co sponsored by Guangzhou entrepreneurship Park for overseas students.

Guangzhou entrepreneurship Park for overseas students has built six parks, namely, Guangzhou Science and technology innovation base Park, Guangzhou Science City comprehensive R & D incubation Zone Park, Guangzhou Development Zone West Zone Park, Guangzhou International Business Incubator Park, Guangdong Software Science Park Park and Science City Information Building Park, forming an incubation network with complementary resources and complete supporting facilities, with a total incubation site of 150000 square meters.

Guangzhou Pioneer Park for overseas students focuses on introducing enterprises of overseas students in the fields of electronic information, biomedicine, new materials, etc. After years of development, Guangzhou Pioneer Park for returned overseas students has formed a unique entrepreneurial culture and atmosphere for returned overseas students, attracted a large number of returned overseas students from Europe and the United States to set up businesses, and successfully incubated a large number of science and technology enterprises for returned overseas students, A total of 629 overseas students were introduced, including 374 doctors and 220 masters; 435 overseas student enterprises were incubated, 164 graduated enterprises and 160 industrialized enterprises.
