Jinting library is a private school located in kengwei village, Pingshan, Hong Kong. It was built in 1870 by Xiangquan Gong, the twenty second ancestor of Deng nationality in Pingshan, in memory of his father, Jinting Gong. The library was set up to train the children of the family to take the imperial examination, enter the official career and enhance the social status of the family. Therefore, the imperial library has the significance of education and ancestor worship.
The Jinting library is a two-way building with a courtyard in the middle. The whole room is made of green bricks, granite columns and granite bars. The ancestral niche, Dou Gong, screen board, mural, ridge decoration, cornice board and grey sculpture have their own characteristics.
