Shiwei, a Russian Nationality Town

Shiwei charming town scenic spot is located in the northern border of the motherland, the northern foot of the Great Xing'an Mountains, in the northwest of Erguna City, across the Erguna River and Russia. Shiwei Russian nationality township (no system, actually a port) is the birthplace of mengwushiwei tribe. The old book of Tang Dynasty: "Shiwei, I have nine tribes in Tang Dynasty.". The total population of the township is 5549 (3141 permanent residents), including 629 Russians and 1145 Chinese Russian descendants.

In 2011, the Russian ethnic township of Shiwei was divided into mengwushiwei Sumu and Enhe. The former Russian nationality township of Shiwei has set aside 1446 square kilometers with 1408 people, and mengwushiwei Sumu is set up. The residence of Sumu people's government is Shiwei. Enhe Russian nationality township is set up in the remaining area of the former Shiwei Russian nationality township. The Township People's government is located in Enhe, with an area of 2068 square kilometers and a population of 2816.

Transportation information: it is recommended to drive or charter a car. If you take public transportation, you can take a bus from Hailar to labdalin (Erguna), and then from labdalin to Enhe, which takes about five hours.
