Located on the side of Lingxiao Pavilion, the Lion Pavilion at Lufeng gorge of Taiping mountain in central and Western Hong Kong is the most famous Lion Pavilion. It is also a popular place to view the high-rise buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour. Visitors can live in the pavilion along Fenli path. Taipingshan Lion Pavilion was built with donations from Taipingshan lion society. The foundation was laid by the then director of civil affairs, Mr Ho hung Luan, on February 28, 1975. It was opened by the then chairman of the Urban Council, Mr shalis, on September 3, 1976. It was renovated in 1992 and opened on June 20 of the same year by the then chairman of the Urban Council, Liang Dingbang.
