Hong Kong Police Training Institute

Hong Kong Police College (abbreviated as HKPC) was formerly known as police training school (abbreviated as PTS), which was formerly known as police school College, subordinate to the personnel and Training Department of the Hong Kong police force, is the main training and training institution of the police force. It is responsible for most of the training and further education matters (excluding internal security, highly specialized special training, etc., all of which are in the charge of other departments or schools). It operates in a joint mode of police academy and university. It is the only post-secondary school in the Hong Kong disciplined services College of education. The Hong Kong Police Academy is regarded as one of the best police academies in the world, and is the object of extensive research and research of police in many countries.

As of 2008 (the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the school), more than 51000 learning police officers and more than 6400 trainee inspectors have been trained here and have taken the Hong Kong Police oath [2]. After completing all the training, the Cadet police officers and probationary inspectors will hold graduation exercises and become police officers with law enforcement power to serve Hong Kong Society and perform police duties.
