Longyuetou Heritage Trail is the second Heritage Trail established by the Hong Kong Government in the new territories.
Why is it called longyuetou? It is said that there are dragons living in the mountains northeast of Lianhe market in Fanling, New Territories, and sometimes they will jump on the mountains, hence the name.
Along the cultural relic trail of longyuetou, you can walk between nature and historic sites, and find traces of the royal family in many well preserved historical sites of Deng family. Many villages still retain the traditional festival customs, showing a rich local life culture.
