Quanfu Island

Quanfu Island

The surrounding waters are rich in aquatic products and have long been the fishing grounds of Chinese fishermen. Administratively, it is under the jurisdiction of Yagong village, Sansha City, Hainan Province.

Fishermen have a rest here temporarily. In the future, simple sheds may be built for temporary residence.

There are more residents on coral island nearby, and there are micro fishing villages on Yinyu island and Yagong Island nearby.

Quanfu Island

Located at the northeast edge of Yongle Atoll, China's Paracel Islands, the geographical coordinates are 16 degrees 32 'north latitude, 111 degrees east 40'. The island is 360 meters long from east to west and 240 meters wide from north to south, with an area of 0.02 square kilometers and an altitude of about 1 meter. The island is about 3 nautical miles away from Yagong island. It is an uninhabited island.

From Jiaqing to Daoguang, there were four cloud dragon pattern dishes, one Huifeng cloud pattern bowl and five blue and white bowls in the Jiahua kiln. The artifacts are cemented with ash up to 0.5-1 mm, which is a 100 year old shipwreck. In addition, according to the memories of the old fishermen in our country, the ancestors of five generations have been fishing in Quanfu Island, which has long been a frequent place for Chinese fishermen. The fishermen in our country are called "all rich" or "all rich". Quanfu island was published as the standard name in 1983. It is called all health island in English.

The water around the island is clear and transparent, and you can see the bottom of the sea with your naked eye.

After the opening of Xisha's tourism, it took the "coconut Princess Cruise" to Paracel Islands, where visitors can visit the whole Fukushima island.

Island name

Chinese fishermen are commonly known as "Quan Fu Shi", "Quan Fu" or "Qu Shou". In 1983, the Chinese government announced the standard name as "Quanfu island".

Island history

As a matter of fact, Quanfu island was established as early as the Qing Dynasty. During typhoon, the island shape can still change. Quanfu island has a long history of development. In 1974, a batch of Qing Dynasty porcelain was found in the reef during the Jiaqing Daoguang period. Such as Dehua kiln cloud dragon pattern dish (4), will wind and cloud pattern bowl (1), blue and white bowl (5). The tufa cemented on the utensils is 0.5-1 mm, which is a deposit of 100 years. In addition, according to the memories of old Chinese fishermen, their ancestors had been fishing in Quanfu island for five generations.

Around the island

The northern part of Paracel Islands is the Xuan de archipelago, the west is Yongle archipelago. The Yongle archipelago is composed of 8 main islands: Treasure Island, Fuquan Island, Ganquan Island, Coral Island, Jinqing Island, Chen Hang Island, Guang Jin island and Zhongjian Island, and has the name of "West 8 islands". Therefore, the local fishermen use the traditional customs of "East 7, West 8, 15 islands" to call Paracel Islands.

Island status quo

The sea area near Quanfu island is shallow, with a large number of coral reefs. It is difficult for ships or even small boats to board the island when the tide is low. Quanfu island is full of fine and soft sea sand, and sandbanks are formed around the island.

Quanfu reef is the reef where Quanfu island is located. There is a subsidiary reef in the east of Quanfu Island, on which there is a miniature sandbank. It is Quanfu reef.
