Warehouse 15 is a place with a little petty bourgeoisie and literary style in Dalian. It has been transformed from an abandoned warehouse into a coffee bar, book bar and other stores with a good atmosphere. Unlike the beach style, the 15 storehouse is surrounded by the harbor of Dalian, where all kinds of ships are moored. It's recommended to go to see it in the evening. It's good to see the sea breeze, light the passenger ship and chat with friends.

15 Libraries

The No.15 warehouse, located at No.1 Gangwan street, Zhongshan District, Dalian City, was built in 1929. It was the largest port warehouse with the highest degree of mechanization in East Asia at that time. It was known as "the first warehouse in East Asia".

Now the 15 storehouse is positioned with the theme of culture, creativity and fashion, and has become a compound creative consumption area combining various cultural and commercial forms such as urban leisure, culture and art, exhibition, theme club, comfortable office and fashion consumption.

The origin of the name

The original drawing title of the port warehouse (No.15 warehouse) is No.10 warehouse in a wharf. After completion, the wall on the west side is marked with No.12. After China takes back Dalian port, the warehouse yard in the port will be rearranged and numbered as No.15, which is still in use today.

Development and transformation

In the second half of 2006, Dalian Donggang business district was completely relocated and rebuilt, and 15 storehouses were preserved as historical buildings. After the transformation, the 15 storehouse takes culture, creativity and fashion as the theme orientation, and becomes a compound creative consumption area combining various cultural and commercial forms such as urban leisure, culture and art, exhibition, theme club, comfortable office and fashion consumption.

Architectural features

The 15 storehouse is less than 10 meters away from the sea, 196 meters long, 39 meters wide and 18.45 meters high. It is a four story reinforced concrete structure with a total construction area of 26000 square meters and a capacity of 15000 tons. The fourth floor is equipped with 486 square meters of thermal insulation warehouse.
