Huanzhu cave

It is located in the hinterland of Fubo mountain. In ancient times, only one side of the river had an entrance, which was accessible by boat. Later, people opened two entrances in the West and south, so that they could walk into the cave from the land. The cave is 4-6 meters high and 6-8 meters wide, with a total length of more than 120 meters and an area of more than 600 square meters.

The name of the cave "huanzhu" comes from several legends. One of them is about Fubo General Ma Yuan who led his army to the south of Jiaozhi and won the battle of Banshi Huichao. He carried the bought Coix back to the Central Plains as medicine by boat. Someone falsely accused him of carrying the pearl which was collected from Hepu. So he poured the Coix into Fubo pool in public to show his heart and let these so-called "huanzhu" go "Pearl" flows back to Hepu.

Huanzhu cave is divided into upper and lower caves, "such as Xiadao, a layer city". It stands at the east entrance of the river, with green hills, Yingzhou in the river, green woods, and deep blue pool. In the Tang Dynasty, Buddhists molded many Buddha statues in the caves. Generally, 239 of them can be identified and shaped. In addition, 400 of them have not yet been shaped, which has become a symbol of advocating Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty. The treasure of Zhendong in huanzhu cave belongs to the self portrait of Mi Fu, one of the four great calligraphers of the Northern Song Dynasty, carved on the stone wall. The portrait is 1.2 meters high. He is dressed in ancient clothes, holding his big sleeve, extending his two fingers on his right hand. If he has a finger, he will walk with his right foot open. He has a natural and unrestrained manner. On the top of the statue is a eunuch portrait of Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty, praising: "Mi Fu of Xiangyang is named nengshu. He has calligraphy in the Six Dynasties. He has no spare time in fishing and hunting. He has both bone and energy. He is skillful in pursuing the spirit. He is graceful and graceful. He has a good command of the future." Mi Fu's calligraphy is rare in later generations, so this self portrait is very precious.
