Although treasure rock is small, its total area is only 3.97 hectares. However, it has some special human landscapes, such as hillside near water, Zhangquan temple and family village illegally built after the war. After renovation and media coverage, in 2006, the New York Times incorporated treasure rock into one of the most distinctive scenic spots in Taipei, which is as famous as Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world.
Treasure rock
Baozang rock originally refers to a Buddhist mountain temple located at the north foot of linhukong mountain (elevation 80 meters) and beside Xindian River, section 3, Tingzhou Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan. It is a current historic site in Taipei city.
In addition to the historic site of baozangyan temple, which is commonly known as Guanyin Pavilion, the historical settlement formed by illegal buildings near the temple is also the current historical building in Taipei, which is called baozangyan historical settlement. The broad geographical term extended by the historical building refers to the small neighborhood built by the illegal buildings on the mountain. The community is located between fuheqiao and the water supply Park (Gongguan water treatment plant), and the administrative district is located in the water source of Zhongzheng district.
Although treasure rock is small, its total area is only 3.97 hectares. After June 1997, some scholars and people in Taiwan paid more attention to the special cultural landscape, such as the hillside near the water, Zhangquan temple and the family village illegally built after the war. After renovation and media coverage, in 2006, the New York Times incorporated treasure rock into one of the most distinctive scenic spots in Taipei, which is as famous as Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world.
