Evergreen Maritime Museum

Evergreen Maritime Museum allows visitors to experience and understand navigation related knowledge through the use of navigation equipment and multimedia services, so as to spread the history of the ship. The museum has various marine paintings and handicrafts, such as ship models, canoes, bamboo rafts, etc., from which we can realize the relationship between Taiwan and its residents and the sea, and evolve into a unique historical culture of Taiwan Island.

Evergreen Maritime Museum

Evergreen Maritime Museum is the most complete and largest maritime museum in Taiwan, which collects ancient Chinese and foreign ships, history of ships and development of shipping industry. With a total area of 3200 square meters from the first floor to the fifth floor, the exhibition hall is divided into five parts: navigation exploration area, ocean painting area, Ocean Taiwan area, modern shipping area and world shipping area. The exhibits mainly display more than 500 treasures collected by Zhang Rongfa, President of the group, all over the world, including Zheng He's treasure ship, Queen Mary and Elizabeth, who carried soldiers and materials during the Second World War The Titanic and the Titanic, the biggest shipwreck in history, are presented to the world in a reduced scale. With the purpose of preserving and spreading the history, art and science of ships, we hope to arouse people's interest and concern for marine culture, and then stimulate their spirit of seeking truth.

Development history

Fujian shipping administration, the pioneer of self-improvement movement in the late Qing Dynasty, "Taiwan special exhibition opened in Taipei Changrong Maritime Museum on the afternoon of 22nd. More than 170 Fujian ship administration cultural relics and other exhibits made their debut in Taiwan.

The special exhibition of shipping administration was jointly held by Fuzhou China shipping culture museum and Taiwan evergreen Maritime Museum. At the opening ceremony on the 22nd, the exhibition exchange group of shipping administration culture to Taiwan led by Chen Jinming, vice chairman of Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and Shen lvsui, descendant of Shen Baozhen, first minister of shipping administration, Yan Zhongxiong, descendant of Yan Fu, former commander in chief of Taiwan Navy, general Ye Changtong, former president of Taiwan Naval Academy and former president of Taiwan Navy Vice Commander General Zheng Benji and other alumni of the school of shipping administration in Taiwan, their ancestors and descendants, and Cao Erzhong, a representative of public opinion, gathered together to discuss the development and changes of Fujian shipping administration in modern China's science and technology, new education, industrial manufacturing, national defense construction and many other fields.

The KMT Central Party building, located at the entrance of kaidagland Avenue in Taipei, is far away from the "presidential palace". It was built in the 1990s. The building is 12 stories high, with four floors underground. The total construction area is about 13500 square meters (1 square meter, the same below). It's a landmark building in Taipei, and it's also a must for tourists. Zhang Rongfa, President of Evergreen Group, said: the purchased building will be used for cultural and charitable activities. Part of the space of the building will be transformed into Maritime Museum and concert hall to serve the public. Nie Guowei, spokesman of Evergreen Group, also stressed that the appearance of the redecorated building will not be painted as "green" representing Evergreen Group, and the original marble appearance will still be retained.

Founded in October 2008, Taiwan evergreen Maritime Museum is a museum attached to the Zhang Rongfa foundation. It is located in the foundation building, 11 Zhongshan South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, 10048. The building used to be the Central Party headquarters of the Kuomintang, but now the seventh floor is still the History Museum of the Kuomintang.

Collection

Taiwan's Evergreen Group is planning to set up a "Maritime Museum" in the "Zhang Rongfa foundation building" (formerly the Central Party headquarters of the Chinese Kuomintang), and is busy arranging exhibitions to welcome mainland tourists at the end of August. The classic collection in the museum is maritime cultural relics from all over the world collected by Zhang Rongfa, founder of Evergreen Group, who attaches great importance to maritime education. The picture shows the "blue island jigsaw boat" arranged in the lobby of the museum. The bow and stern of the ship are decorated with feathers at both ends. The human figures in the center and on both sides represent the ancestors. The concentric circles in black and white at the bow represent the eyes of the ship, which can protect the fishing harvest. Lanyu, located in the southeast sea of Taiwan, is the residence of Dawu people, one of the minority nationalities in Taiwan.

More than 70 cultural relics and more than 100 precious pictures are displayed in this exhibition, including the vertical steam engine model produced in 1866, the gold medal awarded by the Qing Dynasty's "Fuzhou shipyard success", the gold pocket watch used by the Yellow Sea naval battle "Jiyuan" warship Chang boqian, the "Tongji" warship steering wheel (mainland first-class document), and other precious cultural relics, as well as four representative warship models made by Fujian shipyard, and the first Chinese water craft model plane. In addition, there are also introductions of Yan Fu, a Chinese Enlightenment thinker, SA Zhenbing, a military strategist, Zhan Tianyou, the father of Chinese railway, Luo Fenglu, a diplomat and Chen Ji, who graduated from Fujian shipping school, as well as a list of students of Fujian shipping school from 1866 to 1949.
